Horrible class. Got an A by googling everything (you can use your phone on the test (Not kidding). Very vague and abstract. I noticed the people who enjoyed him were those of older generations were really into physical science. His lectures dragged (absolutely boring) and he would get offended with questions every time. DON'T TAKE HIM!

Take lots of clear notes. You'll need them for the tests. Usually he'll do a review where you can ask sample old test questions, and through this, you can get answers to about half of the test automatically. His class is very interesting. Sometimes he seems standoff-ish but I don't think he means to be. Labs with Angliongto are easy and she rocks.

Awesome professor! I loved his class, as long as you take good notes in class, notes from his program (you can get them in the computer lab), and his review questions from the computer program i guarantee you a C or B. However, to get an A you have to understand the subject. One extra credit test! He is pretty cool, very smart!

Very confusing. Makes test questions extremely tricky. Make sure you take tons of notes and print off his slides. He has a short fuse.

I think his class is pretty easy, as long as you take good notes. His tests are open notes, so if you take good notes, you will do just fine. Lectures were always interesting. Easy A or B

I didn't like his class at all. His tests were hard, and abstract. Plus, he doesn't go by the book much and mostly goes by his lectures. He goes to fast when he lectures for me. Also, even though it's open book/ open notes I'm still failing. He's definitely not the teacher for me :/

His tests aren't over what's discussed. The only way to pass is google the answers because he let's you use your computers phones laptops and notes. He is a horrible professor. He is also rude towards students who don't answer questions correctly. His labs were easy. His lectures were a nightmare. Don't take this class. It's a bad idea.

Great teacher!! Every class is interesting. As long as you pay attention and take good notes, it is an easy class. Every test is open book, open note, open every resource expect for other students.

Despite being interested in the course, I found Schuessler a bad professor. His tests rarely had anything to do with what was discussed in class, he wasted time, and dismissed generally accepted scientific theories and principles in class in favor of his own. He is interesting in lectures. He is also a wizard. For reals.

Take excellent note, make copies of his lecture slides(this is tough), ask questions during the test review class. Be engaged in his lectures, be interested in the subject, ask questions, comment. Not as tough as you might think at first. Challenge how he marked your critical thinking answers if needed, he will change grades.

He expects you to be an expert before you even walk in the classroom. Paid attention to everything he said, even tape recorded his lectures, still failed all of his tests. Horrible teacher.

He is never clear, his test questions have nothing to do with the textbook or lecture....avoid his physical geology class at all costs. Ive heard his other classes are better.

TAKE GOOD NOTES. Everything in his class revolves around your ability to take excellent notes. The class became even easier after he mentioned an open lab that had study questions to look at in the ASI building. If he doesn't mention it, ask him about it. It has all of his powerpoints, but COPY WORD FOR WORD his sample test questions. It will help!
