If you don't know code, Comp. Science is equally hard, regardless of professor. Setaro lectures/notates clearly, stops to see if everyone is following along, demonstrates homework before end of class, and he WILL help you if you go to him before class/during break. People get mad that he suggests going to the lab for help, but those guys help a lot

Horrible you HAVE to get tutoring to be able to pass cause he talks way too fast and doesn't care if you pass or not. And you don't do everything EXACTLY the way he wants it then he is completely rude and dismissive. He'll give you a zero even if you handed in your work.

Honestly, a really great teacher. The work is easy. Explains everything clearly. Most of the time class we let out early, put he was always there after for anyone that needed help. I really enjoyed him and would absolutely take again. Also, does not really expect late homework, but it is quick and easy.

This guy is the epitome of the generic 'Computer Science' professor. Incredibly nice dude that has some awkward and half-witty jokes. His lectures are nothing incredible, but they are informative and very easy to absorb. There's nothing negative I can say about this professor other than the slow-paced lectures. Recommended.

Tom is a nice guy. Doesn't like to be disrespected so don't use your phone, do other work in class, and pay attention to him the whole time. He WILL lecture the entire time, no doubt. Even on the last day of the semester he lectured until until the last minute.

Not a bad person. He is helpful when you need it and doesn't mind repeating things. He is forgetful and will lose your assignments. I had to reprint two of my codes because he claimed I never did them. I also had one code he claimed I never handed in even though he already graded and returned it to me.

hes a good professor. Computers is honestly just boring but hes an easy grader and he does a group project instead of a term paper. it took us a half an hour to do and we all got 100's.

Professor Setaro is an awesome teacher. He is very clear and explains everything very well. Coding is not easy but he makes it as easy as can be. I plan to take as many computer science courses with him as I can. I would definitely recommend him.

Prof Setaro was awesome as a teacher. Clear, concise, and easy to understand. If a student didn't get something initially, he had no problems working with the student. Professor Setaro made in class exercises relevant and enjoyable. He was also very approachable outside of class. I highly recommend him.

His course has great structure and if you follow and want an a its very achievable. Follow up with the homework and you'll be golden, you can even do the correlating lesson while he is going over the practice portion. Group project is straightforward and so is he. He is also very helpful and will casually bounce to everyone with their hands up.

I don't think Setaro made attendance mandatory, but it basically is if you want to keep up with the skills he teaches you. His course is not hard if you pay attention and do your assignments. His lectures are very clear, and he makes it known that he is there to help if you need him. On top of all of that, he is a really nice guy.

Great teacher. Very clear in his instructing and does not use power point at all, which is very refreshing for a computer class. Do all the labs, study for the tests and you will do fine in here.

Tom is the man! He really helps with all of the work in the class. He helps with every lab you have to do. We even ended up missing 2 labs because he just let things move slow in the class. There's extra credit quizzes, not graded quizzes. He knows his stuff, but he's more on the C++ rather than Java. Nice guy. I really recommend!
