I never went to class and got an A. Dr. Goodie was a nice man and clearly loves what he teaches, but his lectures are a little all over the place. If you read the book and study youll make an A.

I took my FYOS with Dr. Goodie and the class was about decision making. Each student would lead a class discussion every week and there was one research paper due at the end of the semester. I truly enjoyed this class and looked forward to going every week! Dr. Goodie is awesome.

Although the lectures are helpful, the material from the tests are all pulled from the book. Getting LaunchPad and taking the practice quizzes was very helpful for me. Dr. Goodie is kind and presents the material in a clear way.

This is an easy class to take and interesting too. The tests arent hard if you go to class. There are some questions from the book but you really just have to maybe read the material a few times. Its doable. And he drops one test and gives extra credit so definitely worth a try. Lectures arent boring.

Dr. Goodie is definitely educated in everything he's teaching, but he is so scatter-brained it is hard to follow. His lectures can be extremely boring, but his notes are helpful but they're also online. Only 3 tests, and they're moderately hard. It's basically a self-study class.

Goodie is a great professor! He's a super nice guy and is always open to questions. His lectures are really helpful, but if you don't go you can just look at the power points. The tests were a little bit tough, but if you study you'll be fine overall.

Very kind teacher, one of my funniest teachers of all time. Scatterbrained, but in an admittedly charming way. A quirky guy, and that's one of he things I like most about him. Amazing lectures, he was very passionate about the topics. Grade is based on 3 tests (optional 4th), so reading is optional. I never read which made tests hard, but got a C.

Dr. Goodie is a nice guy and tries super hard to make his lectures fun, but he's really scatterbrained and sometimes the lectures are hard to follow. Your grade in the class is determined by 3 test grades (you take 4 tests but he drops the lowest). He says to buy the access code and the book but don't. Just buy the book and you'll be perfectly fine

USE LAUNCHPAD. PLEASE. He is the most scatter-brained person I have ever met. He would walk to one side of the room, talk about something, remember something else and walk to the other side. He never finished what he was talking about, so you need to use the textbook to study. It was overall a pretty straightforward course, just memorization heavy.

Dr. Goodie is the worst lecture professor in the psychology department! Whatever you do try to not get him as a professor! He goes on tangents during the lectures and is very scatter-brained. The tests are completely random, and he ends up curving all of the exams since a majority of the class does terrible on them.

I went to this class I think twice this entire semester. Tests are pretty easy as long as you read the book and look at the lecture slides on ELC. He posts the key to the tests very quickly after you take the test. Lets you drop your lowest of four test grades and had a 7 point extra credit opportunity. He was funny.

This class was okay. There are only 4 tests including the final, and he curves it, but only by a few points. The tests put more emphasis on the book than the lecture, but don't let that keep you from coming to class. Though they can be boring, paying attention to detail will help you to do well on the exams.

I loved Dr. Goodie! He posts all his lectures online and you don't really need the book or you don't really have to go to class. I didn't touch the book once and made low A's on all 3 of the tests. The only grades you get are the average of the 3 test out of the 4 (the final is optional). He is super nice and funny.

Don't have to go to class to get a decent grade. The only grades are tests which makes it hard to get an A.

I could've studied more for this class and I crammed every test so ill probably get a low A or high B. You need to read the textbook but focus heavily on whats in the lecture slides ( I hardly went to class and just read the slides and book). He's kinda scatter brained however, he is a nice guy and gets lit for psych.

Dr. Goodie is a solid teacher for PSYC1101. All of his lecture slides are posted on eLC and attendance isn't mandatory but sometimes he puts questions on the test that you can only get right if you were actually in class. Hard tests, but he curves them. Overall good teacher and super funny too.

I really enjoyed Goodie as a lecturer. He is a really nice guy and also has a total "dad" personality with his jokes and such. The course is difficult no matter who you take, but I felt like I could do well just based on his lectures. The book does provide back up explanation , which is helpful for exams, so use it to your advantage.

You only have 3 tests that are kinda hard but not really. Just pay attention in class. I didn't need the book and I got A's on all my tests, never opened it. DO NOT buy any of the materials suggested it is pointless. He says its 60% lecture 40% book, but you need zero book. I like his lecture he's quirky and funny and gives good examples.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! His tests are so difficult for no reason at all. You have to study for hours and hours before the tests and basically teach yourself. I'm telling you right now get another professor for psychology.
