Lectures are long, he blabs on about stuff, sometimes it's relevant sometimes it's not. I stopped going to lecture and only read the book for the exams. The exams were not easy. The final had a LOT of information we had to be responsible for. He was helpful if you asked questions in class, though. Keep up on the information as it comes and start studying prior to the night before the exam. Go to the BLC if you have questions. If you do that, you should stay above the average and you will be okay.

great professor. yes he is very hard and can seem incomprehensible at times, but really all you need to do is go to class and study. genetics was difficult, but he really makes zoology and evolution a piece of cake for sure.

The course has improved from looking at scoop. Was very fair in testing and grading. Puts a generous curve on at the end of the course. Lectures were a little unclear at times. I would definitely take courses from him in the future.

Such a fun class! I'm not a bio major but I had such a great time. I learned a ton even though I didn't want to. You spend over a week in the Bahamas and learn about a few plants to two. SO EASY! such a great experience. GO...you'll love it!

This is the worst professor I have ever had. By far. He purposely put the wrong answers on an answer key IN THE LEARNING CENTER, trying to screw us over. He admitted to it. He doesnt help students at all. Even if you ask him. It you have to take this class with him, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Snyder is one of the worst professors I have had at MTU. Extremely hard class. My advice is find scoop exams...especially for the first one. He is very unclear and you might as well burn your notebook instead of taking notes.

One of those professors that has a tendedncy to make you feel stupid if you don't know the answer to something... makes it hard to ask for help. Tough class, but studying will get you through it... lots of work.
