Read, Read, Read.... Be prepared to read. Dr Timmerman gives tons of reading assignments and tests are short answers from those assignments. Reading is literally the most boring way to learn. But it's his way of teaching. And tests are short essay, if you didn't read he will FIND OUT!. So make sure you read, its about 100 pages every week.

Very good professor. Lots of reading (make sure you don't fall behind!) and you have to work for your grade, but you really learn the subject matter. Take him if you can but be ready to work.

Dr. Timmerman requires more reading than any professor I have had before. He intentionally makes his test complex so that you should read, then re-read the material so the multiple choice questions don't take up all of your allotted time. He gives limited feedback, so you have to pry if you want more than just your grade. Also, DISCUSSION POST!!

I have had Timmerman for several classes. He is strict and sometimes hard on grading but is a fun, likeable, approachable professor. He definitely knows his stuff and puts it into real world terms so you understand it. We just used our correlations for the NFL draft. Take him, whatever class you are taking if he is an option, take him.

I loved HR with Timmerman, but Staffing is much harder. There are so many quizzes due in such a short period of time. Also, you have numerous group papers to write. Tis class is definitely tough and you'll have to work hard for a good grade. Timmerman will help I you ask for it, and he is nice. The class is rough, though.

Dr. Timmerman was great. His video lectures were extremely interesting. He was always there, even though I was an online student. Answered emails and phone calls promptly. This was my favorite class of the semester, and I will be taking him as often as I can. Makes you work for the grade, but is very fair. Really enjoyed the class.

Dr. Timmerman is a great professor. Best professor in the TN Tech MBA program. He does expect you to do your part by reading and studying, but you'll learn a lot of valuable information. I wish he taught the Capstone course. Wonderful professor!

Intro to HR was a very easy class. Only had to read for chapter quizzes that were online. Multiple choice questions came directly from quizzes. So PRINT them and STUDY them. Some problem solving questions from class. Very fair grader. He will move quizzes if you ask and have a fairly decent reason. I hope to take him again!

Umm the e-mail didn't exactly say that he would rather hire foreign students. It simply said that the foreign students class average on the final was 1 or 2 points higher than the American students. That was probably due to several students not even attempting the test. He is a great professor and I highly recommend him

He walked out of the middle of class without saying a word and threw a fit because he felt as if the class didn't want to learn & after we took the final he sent an email saying he would rather hire foreign students over Americans...I made an A in the class,passed the HR certification AND Im American...I would never work for him

The best class and professor at Tech. I learned a lot of things that I feel like I can apply to the real world. Most of the class did't seem to care and I could tell this bothered Dr. Timmerman but they got their reward. This man should be the dean of the COB someday. A+ human being!!!

I like Dr. T's class. His teaching style is entertaining and educational as well as very interactive. He's a buisness major by trade but a psychologist by heart and it shows when talks about research. His class isn't an "easy" A, but it is not hard to do well. For the summer, our grade came from 3 quizzes and 1 test a week. Recommended!

Awesome teacher. One of very few classes had that I wanted to go to class because it was so interesting. Got a B but didn't study very much for any test. Quizzes are online and open book.

Great teacher and great guy. Puts himself on same level with students so doesn't act like he's better than you. Really good guy and very likeable. Take this class!
