he looks funny, but helpful for students, and approachable. however, he is kind of rude to some class members in some ethnical sense. personally don't like him, but he is kind of popular instructor at UW.

i was not in his lecture section...but he saved a lot of people's butts by posting very clear and detailed notes before midterm/final. he took the time to type up those notes,which really really helped those who couldn't attend lectures. very tough assignments though. lots of bonus questions on assignments/exams, but they're brutally tough!

Even if this guy looks funny from the beginning, don't run from him.... he is very clear in explanations and cares if people understand him... very good notes and presentation on the material
