Comment:

Prof Somers is really kind and willing to help. Replies to emails super fast, offers extra credit and is a fair grader. The class itself is tough but she is prob your best bet for an A. Was a little disorganized and sometimes seemed to forget what she was doing mid-problem or do problems wrong. Go to class but also you have to study on your own.

Comment:

If you ever need help she gets back to you really fast and also provides many resources to get extra help if you need it. However, she flies through her lectures. Most times, she goes through practice problems so quickly that she messes them up and has to go back to fix her mistakes. It can get pretty confusing! You may need to review on your own

Toni is an awesome professor. Although sometimes she seems like she forgets how to do some math problems she is always willing to help. Always replies to emails and will stay after to answer student questions. If you do all the assignments and do her study guides (which are really good) you will succeed in the class.

Somers is always available & responsive to emails. This course was a 4 week/online course. You work at your own pace but there are about 20 assignments in total that need to be completed. These include discussion board posts, 1 small project, 6 video cases & 6 text cases. The midterm and final were timed & included 5 essays each. Good professor.

Comment:

Toni is one of the best professors at Wayne State without a question. She replies to emails almost immediately. Lectures are concise yet detailed, and grading is very clear and reasonable. I would highly recommend taking stats with her. She is really the best!

She is the best statistics professor at Wayne State. Gives good feedback, her exams are not tough considering she basically covers what is going to be on the exam, the week before the exam. Offers extra credit. Highly recommend her.

What a great professor!! Really quick to answer emails and as helpful as can be. Very nice. She is very good at explaining things and even made stats easy! Her tests are easy and gives full credit on homework if it is completed within the semester. Chances for extra credit as well. LOVE this lady! Must take!

Glad I took this class online as it is really easy. You basically work the mult choice assignments at your own pace and Somers responds to emails right away. All the information is in the book for the assignments and exams which were all mult choice. Helpful professor, easy A.

Decent class overall. Brings up some interesting discussion topics related to IT, security and ethics. Took it over the summer and the course work was pretty heavy in the shorter time period. no exams, write 3 papers, have weekly group papers due and lots of discussion board potings.

I took somers in the summer semester, in fact i'm just finishing up with the class. The workload is pretty heavy. Your grade is mostly based on two exams based on 4 essay questions each. Each exam is 8 PAGES SINGLE SPACED!! A lot of writing... also 3 single spaced paper on an ethical delma. Also 7 one page paper done with group.

talks ALOT, does presentations off powerpoint which are online so attendance is not neccessary, topic assignments are simple, gives out a decent amount of extra credit, is lenient if you talk to her, tests are based on book, I never bought the book and only attended class to turn in assignments and still got a B. You do the math lol. Shes nice tho.

Good professor, nice lady. She goes over the material on PowerPoint & works problems in class. Reviews the material before tests. Tests are open-book so if you're lazy & rely on that you won't learn much. I put in the effort & learned a lot. It will pay off in ISM 4400. Easy A. Take home exam was time consuming, don't wait to the till the last minute!

She is the best Stats professor in Michigan. Very patient, understanding, and always willing to help. Gives a lot of extra credit. She takes the fear away from having to take Stats I and II. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING HER. SHE WAS A TRUE BLESSING FROM GOD.

Toni was the best stats teacher I ever had. She made my fear of Stats II disappear. She is very knowledgeable, patient and willing to help. She knows that this is a hard subject for most and she makes it easy. I highly recommend taking her for Stats I and II. She is a true blessing.
