I really like Tony. He tells these crazy stories that are dry with humor, but still leave you laughing. His grading of papers is pretty tough, but if you do the work to the best of your ability he will see that and give you a fair grade.

He LOVES to tell stories. Whether they're interesting or not is completely up to you, but at least he tries! There's a lot of literaturepoems to be read, but they're interesting. One big project, 2 small papers, and a few things here and there. (Almost) Weekly quizzes, couple questions per quiz. Really interested in what you have to say.

Tony was creeped out by me and i really don't understand why. He seems to be very judgmental. He often tells really weird or disturbing stories too.

Don't take this class in the summer unless it's your only class. Everything crammed into 6 wks. Expect to write as much as you would in 12 wks. Tony is a nice guy. He truly tries to make you a good writer but found him to be very critical of papers. If you think you wrote an A paper, it is most always a B, a B paper is most always a C, etc...

Tony, Tony, Tony. He's a lot of fun. He gives a lot of work but he's very lenient if you forget to do a project or something. I HATE literature but he made this class very enjoyable. I recommend him.

Tony was really nice and friendly, and seemed like he really wanted the class to succeed and do well. he gave us both writing and creative assignments during the semester. the only issue I had was that it seemed like we had a lot of writing (journal entries) and busy work for an intro level class. otherwise he was great.

If you are uptight or sensitive, you will be offended!Tony doesn't mince words but he is very interesting. He's very knowledgeable about Latino Lit & u can tell.I learned a lot.FYI: Take really good notes! He takes all of his questions from his lectures. Quizzes are not hard & we had a few projects& papers. It's an easy class if u do the readings.

Easy grader, and decided we didn't need to have class 2 days..... No constructive feedback though, didn't feel like I learned anything, and felt cheated out of my money. If you're taking this course to get it over with and get a decent grade, go for him.

Intro to U.S. Latino Lit. Really knowledgeable, has a PhD. Very approachable and helpful when you need something, but doesn't really respond to emails. Not alot of homework. Had to keep a journal and do a few 3 page papers. Very laid back

Tony is a one of a kind teacher. He knows his stuff and is easy to talk to. It seems he likes morbid stories and papers though....or is is just me.

Mmmhhh.... Let's see Tony is a great professor, but does not respond to e-mails. He likes to intimidate you at the beggining of the class, but you don't really do a lot of work for his class. Somewhat unorganized, but if he likes your class he will invite the whole class to have dinner.

Great professor! Encourages thoughtful conversations in class, very funny, class flies by! One thing though: he usually doesn't respond to emails or calls--if he does it's too late. But generally a great prof.
