Comment:

One of the most intelligent, caring, and cynical professors I have ever met. Intimidating in class but about the most considerate mentor you could ask for outside of that setting. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. His tests are easy to prepare for so long as you view his past years quizes. Take a lot of notes. Stay with it in class, or he'll call you out.

Unfortunately if you are an Economics major, you will have to take Maynard. His Tests are incredible hard. He even gave out the questions ahead of time(all essay). Readings - They are hard, and there is lots of them, and he made the class do presentations of them, rather then him teaching them himself. He is funny though. Not the best teacher.

Some say Professor Maynard is hard. But I find him somehwat easy if you put a little bit of time in. For the ECN 101 he post all his back quizzes and test which usually turn out to be very similar, sometimes the same as the one you take in class. And his class is usually interesting.

His teaching method can be a bit dry (those PP slides) but I think the discussions were pretty interesting and Maynard has an awesome sense of humor. I would suggest him for introduction classes, but for the higher level where discussions are important, definitely take him!

Maynard's a cool guy and really smart. His tests are kind of a b***h because there are only like 4 questions, but once you know what he's going to ask on them, they're pretty easy to prepare for. As long as you give an effort, and attend classes, you'll be fine.

Very humorous, easy to get along with...not too helpful in class though. Only covers PP slides...gotta know your stuff for the tests! Basic economic concepts...otherwise, the class isn't too bad.

Ok, he is British and it's nice to see some diversity on campus;) Apart from that, he is hard/easy depending the class really! In all, he is useless to the class as all he does is show us ppt stuff. But he is funny!
