Professor Simari is a good guy. His exams are tough and there is tons of material to cover. Show up to class, take notes and do ALL the homework questions. Make sure to study for the Quizzes (seriously, do it) as that will be the easiest way to boost your grade. Put in the effort and you will be fine.

take this course independently because you will basically have to teach yourself everything with this professor. so many assigned chapter problems and the exams look nothing like them. even when you ask what is going to be on the exams, he doesn't give straight answers!

Reads 70+ slides in one class period. You cant take notes fast enough. It is basically a self taught class you wont learn much from him. Class average for the first exam was 65. Unless youre an accounting wiz dont take this class with him.

This prof literally reads off slides the contain nothing but words in a class that is all about math (simple math)! never goes through practice problems. The book is mandatory since you have to teach yourself! Hated going to class. defiantly recommend finding a different professor, had to drop the class coming for a B+ and higher student!

Dude is terrible as a professor! Seems like a cool person, but sucks as a teacher. Lectures the entire class but doesn't teach you anything, just reads slides, and then quizzes you on what you don't know every week. Textbook is mandatory to teach yourself or you're screwed. Offers no extra credit. Avoid at all cost if you care about your gpa!

Did not enjoy this class or the professor. He's a cool guy but he doesn't really explain the material he kind of just tells you. Lectures are really boring, he just reads off slides the entire class. Tests are really long. Had to retake class and other professor was much better; had about 5 students from his class. Would NOT take again

At first I was struggling in the class, but after talking to him and asking for extra help and clarification I really felt like I understood the material. The textbook sucks and his lectures are kind of boring, but If you do the optional homework it helps you on the exams. I would take him again.

Homework and exams were take home. The information was complex, but he did an excellent job of breaking down the material. Each lecture covered a different topic, if you pay attention/take notes, then you're likely to do well on the homework and exam.

He is an awesome professor, but his exams are tough. You have to read and the book makes it seem really easy but it's not. Three exams, two homework assignments and four quizzes. You can ask him what will be on the test but every time my friends and I would there would be something different on the exam. I wouldn't recommend him.

Professor Simari is smart and has good intentions, but his class was AWFUL. I had to study everything multiple times by myself, seeing as his lectures made no sense and neither did the slides. I taught myself everything and hated going to class or anything that had to do with this class. Be prepared to do lots of studying alone...

Very good professor, very nice. Take home exams and homework assignments are easy as long as you use the examples in his presentation. Although it's an "easy" course it is time consuming and you have to put in a lot of time doing the assigments and exams right. Fair grader.

Overall a solid professor who is experienced and is very helpful during/outside of class. Material is pretty dry and so are his lectures. Lectures aren't necessary....just read the chapters and slides. Gives you assigned problems w/ answers, however recommended to do them. 3 exams, 4 quizzes, no Final or project. Easy A for accounting majors.

I was surprised to read the other reviews. Basically I had to teach myself from the book and the online site that the book offers. Homework not collected. The class is 3 hours of boring powerpoints. He is very hard to follow and does a poor job in explaining the material. He turns this course into a confusing mess.
