Tonya Roper was my instructor in ENG 101, I made good grades on the Reading Responses and Writing Assignments but I really wonder why she gave me a C average grade even though I never made any absences too and I even calculated my gradescores based on the syllabus grading criteria and I should got an A. Does she know how to calculate grades?

Less than helpful. If you want a teacher that thinks she's hilarious and is continuously sarcastic and condescending towards students, then she's the one for you. You have to pry to get help from her in regards to assignments. Don't e-mail her. It's useless. She does not respond in a timely manner, if she even responds at all.

Terrible teacher! constantly cancels class and is condescending towards students who try to ask questions. She switches assignment due dates around and if you dont get the memo and dont turn it in on the new time, she can and WILL give you a 0 with no chance to make it up. Teacher holds grudges and will try to give you a WF for withdrawing her clas

I loved her class at first, she was very funny! I did all of my assignments except for one short writing assignment that I missed, and she failed me. and I am STILL upset.

She is a terrible teacher. Doesn't do any work. Talks about her personal life more than english class. Not there half the time and keeps you there for no reason. If you're trying to pass I would recommend her. If you're trying to learn something then I would NOT recommend her.

Terrible teacher do not take her she is not helpful very sarcastic and has a smart mouth she does not care about your grade always canceling class never there and always changing assignment dates she looses work several of the students face the same issue including me n then she makes it seems as if its your fault trying to play it off

She is usually called a hard/bad teacher because she does not hold your hand; she only helps those who help themselves. Also, her schedule is unpredictable- any outline she gives you will be thrown out the window a month into the class. If you're determined, do your work, and communicate- you will succeed.

I loved her in ENG 100, and this semester I took her for 102, she is very different. She is very hard to read, doesnt take late assignments, stuck up,gets off track, always cancelling class, she doenst even like to teach 102. Nice person but very flip-floppy and she complains about how all her 102 students papers stink stay on top of yout work.

talks too much sometimes about things that have nothing to do with eng 102. That is okay though because it makes class go by quickly. I would recommend her though b/c she is a great teacher she has a passion and that is for her students to succeed in her class. Better be prepared for class b/c if not she will put you out!

I liked her as a person outside of the classroom. But in class she would flip-flop on when assignments were due and would digress a lot during lecture. She was also hard to read. I never knew if she was joking or being straight forward. So teacher wise, she is average.

Ms Roper was a hard professor to read because one minute she is nice and the next she is being very sarcastic. All in all I loved her class, she was very helpful and would give you chances to make your grade better. Actually her and another professor are the only professors that I remember from tech. Bottom line is she hates slackers and goof offs

Not an easy class, have lots of short written assignments and a couple major ones. Turn them in on time and actually put a lot of effort into them you will be ok. If you half @ss your papers or don't turn them in on time don't even consider taking her. Horriable teacher but i made good great so can't complain to much
