Awesome guy and an amazing professor! Participation does matter in his class as a portion of your grade depends on it. His tests are usually long and it might take you the full period to complete it but as long as you attend his lectures and study, you will pass. His multiple choice questions can be tricky but he does curve. Tests are like PPT'S.

Awesome professor! He posts word docs of notes for each chapter which he uses in class, these allowed me to never have to consult the textbook. Tests can be tricky especially for those who haven't really put the effort in-& you DO need to put in the effort to get good exam grades. Best method is to read through his notes & then do/review the HWs.

Great Professor! I would take him again. 2 midterms, one final, and Connect Homework. Participation is key in his class, he gives credit for those who do problems on the board. Test are somewhat easy if you know your stuff, however, he does curve the exams if he sees improvement in the whole class.

Comment:

Mitsudome is very accessible, engaging, a great guy. This class was a mix of accounting research and academic research in accounting. The academic research portion challenged me in a good way -- it forced me to think in a way other accounting courses haven't. I might have preferred more emphasis on the accounting research portion, but no regrets.

A really nice professor. I cannot stress this enough please take this course with this professor even if you have to take it in the summer. Otherwise you would fail it in the fall. He is the only one who knows how to teach this course. And he's very fair so are his exams. His exams reflects the material he taught in class. So no surprises.

Clearly he knows how to teach Cost Accounting. SOOOO grateful I took him over the summer. Definitely avoided an impending nervous breakdown in the Fall, if I had not changed my mind at the last second.

He knows how to teach cost accounting, which is hard to say for the others in the department. Three exams all worth 25% each, rest of your grade comes from H.W and participation. He doesn't curve but gives sample exams, consisting of MC and short-answer questions. Homework is on connect. Teaches at a fast and clear pace, no worries at all - great.

Really great professor, maybe the best in the Accounting dept at Hunter College! Cares about students and cares about the subject. Will provide you with as much assistance as you need. Do the work, come to class and participate once in a while, and an A is quite possible.

I'm so glad I took him for cost accounting during the summer. He provides packets of notes and sample exams which are very helpful. His exams reflect the practice exams and his lectures. It's an easy A as long as you study hard and pay attention to his class. Would take again

"The best" who loves his job. His exams reflect the material, you do learn lot and never forget it again. He gives 2 exams, also extra credit paper. He really tests what he teachs and that is the way to teach. And you will learn.If you take his class, You'll be confident on your staff accounting interviews. Took Int Acctg 1. Great teacher - generally, he's very good at explaining the problems, no surprises on the exams. Decent work loan- not overwhelming. If you do all the exercises (he doesn't collect it) you should have a good grasp. ***BONUS - Not sleep inducing at all - certainly can't say that about other accounting classes! ***

He is the one of the best professors i've ever had in hunter. he is the most helpfull guy on earth. he will answer practically any que. you have even if it don't not deal with acc. he gives a review sheet b4 every test and 95% of it is in the test. (similar to it)TAKE HIM!!!!!!!
