He is the worst professor I have ever had. You cannot understand what he is saying, and he doesn't understand when students ask questions. Be prepared to be tested on data modeling that wasn't discussed in class even though he doesn't know the answers to the midterms when you ask about them.

I was really looking forward to learning about databases, but this class was awful. Toshimi is unhelpful and the lectures only hold a small amount of useful information. On assignments, make sure to just submit everything you do because the requirements are extremely unclear.

Terrible teacher, avoid this teacher at all costs. Can't understand him and his exams are way too difficult. You will think everything is pretty easy until the midterm hits, then you just have to study the old midterm as much as you can. He didn't show up for class one time right before the midterm, I honestly don't know how he is still teaching.

Absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had. Not only is he impossible to understand, but he can't even understand the questions students ask him. I went to him after class with a question and came away more confused than before I saw him. He relies on his students to fix his homework errors.. i.e. he shouldn't be teaching. GG.

ZOMG! Avoid if AT ALL possible! I took him for 311 last year and was totally screwed for 411, I didn't learn anything about operating systems. Even if he spoke perfect english he would be very hard to understand; but he doesn't and makes communicating with him just about impossible. WTF OSU I want my money back!

His lecture is hard to understand, but you learn a lot from him. Many students make fun of him; even if other professors act similar to Dr. Minoura, students attack only Toshi. If you want to get a good grade, I strongly recommend you take his class.

WORTHLESS! Based on lectures and talking to him durring office hours I have no idea how he ever earned an undergraduate degree much less a doctorate or became a teacher. Almost no time was spent talking about databases. Grades were completly randomly assigned. All work is done on a group project and all members of the group get different grades.

Toshi is the worst professor I have ever had the misfortune of taking a class from. He knows almost nothing about computers, and even less about databases. Assignments are unclear and leave you wondering what it is you are supposed to be doing. Database courses should be on databases and not on his stupid stories about bamboo forts and accounting!!

He doesn't teach you anything. He spent the whole time talking about his attempts to learn accounting. If you want to learn databases don't bother taking this class. Read 1 page in a book or look at 1 web page and you will learn far more then 11 weeks with Toshi! From his comments in class it is questionable if he knows anything about databases.

He did not cover anything in the description of the course. Spent HALF of the term only talking about XML. Graded projects by how pretty they were, ignoring content. Copied the code we wrote that he liked so he could use it later. Didn't read our project document and just wrote a grade on the cover.
