She makes you work for your grade but gives lots of extra credit (at least 20 pts). Attendance isn't taken, but you'll miss lectures and participation if you don't show up. She tries to reasonably help her students, but some people didn't do their half and complained instead. If you don't procrastinate and actually work hard, you'll be better off.

I thought Camp was great. She is very down to earth and is willing to help her students. She does go fast, but she's willing to answer questions. I wrote her a thank you card for one of those professor appreciation weeks, and she personally wrote me an email thanking me and how much it meant to her.

I got a question wrong on a test and after some research realized I was correct. When I went to her she told me that I was correct, but, that she would NOT give me the points back because the rest of the class wrote the wrong answer. I am unsure what kind of logic this is, but she is the head of my major's department and I have lost all respect.

Though she taught at a fast pace without being too clear, she is a very genuine down to earth person if you actually go to her for help. She does try to explain things, but I think in order to get the most out of the class you're gonna have to ask for clarification on a lot of things.

It's because of Dr. Camp that I transferred to Comp. Sci. and I am very glad I did. Tracy is now my u-grad advisor, I've been in two classes taught by her, and do research work overseen by her. She's a great teacher and person!
