One amazing professor. Honestly one of the best the RTF program has to offer! Funny and intelligent at the same time. He does do critiques of your work with you individually and if your work is crap he will let you know. This class is very fair though, you do genuinely earn your grade. Overall great professor. I would take again in a second.

Contrary to popular belief, Troy is a very understanding guy - if you show that you actually care about the course and your grade. Don't expect to get a good grade if you don't turn in quality work or at least make it clear that you put in the effort. Troy is a great professor, very intelligent and you will learn a LOT from him.

Troy is a great teacher. The only reason he has you do tutorials yourself on the editors is because he rightfully assumes that by the time you're taking his 300 level class in a RTF major, that you should already KNOW how to edit and use those programs. Very funny, lets you be creative and teaches a lot of really great stuff. Take him if you can!

This is the absolute worst professor I have ever had! His classes are all basically teach yourself. I paid a lot of money to attend college, not to just be handed an assignment, told to go out and figure out how to use final cut and avid. He also doesn't seem to know much about these programs he is teaching so good luck on asking questions.

This class was pretty easy with him. As I remember, the only grades were a paper, an exam, and a video package. All were easy if you didn't slack off too much. He can get kind get kind of moody, but aslong as you don't act like an idiot he'll be nice to you. He could be more helpful with stuff, but hey, it's Fundies.

If you care to learn anything about film and cinematography, this lecture is only a supplement to a fair amount of reading the text. The basics are preached and expected to be implemented in lab and memorized for the tests.

This guy grades way to hard for the amount that he teaches,doesnt have alot of tests but alot of projects taht he grades too hard and doesnt help throughout the semester.Also gives too many projects at one time, we had 3 going at once, one small and the other two were the biggest parts of our grade and this was at the end of semester.

Dont know why everyone has a big "jones" for this guy,he is a relax and comes off as cool young teacher but doesnt really help you out its a learn on your own type of course with him, but he teaches so many courses so that you will have to take him. Nice guy, alright professor. The only main problem I have with him is that when your given an assignment it is often a "figure it out on your own" type thing. He definitely knows what he's talking about and expects a lot out of his students...pretty hard grader, but is worth taking

He always seemed kind of distant, like he wasn't intrested in the class or the students, that he was just there to tell us what to do and then be gone. Attendance is mandatory and if you do show up you'll be fine. There was one test but it wasn't hard and your final project is producing a package, not too tough.
