Dr. Winston is pretty freakin' cool. She makes these hilariously fabulous and unexpected comments! Very opinionated, very straight forward, very funny. Loved her class. I was thoroughly amused by her daily antics.

Best professor ever... hands down. Extremely open minded and sparks good in depth discussions. If your a steryotypical greek "good ole boy (girl)" driving a big truck with a dubya sticker, this class is not for you.

Ute Winston is a liberal, feminist, communist, socialist to the core. Capitialist & free-market economy are foreign words to her. Conservative & Christian approaches to morality in society are unwelcome in her class. She claims that there is a need for opposing views in her class, but the criticisms of differing views never end. Liberal Looney!!!!

She is very interesting and intelligent. She can be extremely critical and opositional, but she does it to promote class discussion. If you can take her as a freshman, do it. She'll challenge you. If you're smart and speak up she'll love you and pick on you. The reading assignments suck, though. I didn't read them and still got an A in the class.

Mrs. Winston's class was a very good class to take first semester freshmen year. However, there were upper-classmen in the class too. Not a lot of work, but a lot of reading mostly interesting material. Speak up and she will like you even if your opinions differ from her liberal ones. She will listen to your point of view! Great!!

She's not "narrow minded." Yes, she is more liberal than your average Bible-beating freshman taking UH 101, but she's not rude about it. Her class fostered a lot of thinking and discussion, which is what that class is intended to do.

Her views are a bit narrowminded, but she is very accepting of opposite views of students and encourages them in these views. I learned so much in this class and was so interested. Be sure to participate in discussion..or you're doomed!

I love her! Very understanding and nice. Take her for an Honors Survey class. Weekly journals, a couple of papers & a take home exam; that's it. Great selection of readings!
