This professor is arrogant, attendance is for sure mandatory. If you are late she will be sure to embarrass you or make a smart comment in front of the class. She is rude about asking questions in class, and unclear about expectations and material. She does not stick to her syllabus, and there are multiple essays all graded harshly. Lots of reading

Took this course because it was required and I didnt think it would be that bad. After the first couple weeks we had so many things to do. She does not help when you ask for it and gets angry when you ask questions she basically wanted us to know everything before she even taught it. Shes a nice person but never responses to her emails.

Professor Endress is a very difficult person to deal with. I struggled with her and she shows no sympathy for her students at all. She talks alot!!! Her class is boring and she is very rude. I wish i had switched from her class when i had a chance. She made my first semester of college a living hell!!

Comment:

The problem I think with Professor Endress is SHE IS EXTREMELY ARROGANT, and I mean ARROGANT. She puts a lot of importance on herself, and she pretty much thinks she's better than the students in the class because she has a PhD. She will literally talk the whole two hours about whatever she wants, and then states her opinions on everything.

Not a great class or teacher. She was super nice to me as a major and when I changed to political Science, she was so nasty to me. She has real difficulty teaching. Very boring and drags on and on. Will fail you if she doesnt like you. Beware.

Late to class once because I'd just been released the hospital and rolled her eyes and made a big deal about in front of class. After that she became very short with me when she hadn't been before. If you think you might have outside conflicts that could effect class then take it with someone else.

Came into this class hearing many negative things about her, but I ignored them and took it slightly. Came to realize I would not recommend choosing her due to how rude she can be. Gets very angry and give unnecessary attitude when you ask questions. She knows her work but unfriendly character makes the class unpleasant to be in. VERY critical.

Nopower point. every one is required to report a journal article related to the assign chapt from the book. book needed for exams and papers She is a very rude professor talks down like we are in high school, if u ask her to clarify she gets mad,vague interrupts

She is a very smart woman and her lectures are interesting, but she has a terrible attitude. Constantly rude to her students, and is not willing to help. She is vague about what she is looking for when assigning papers and then will be a very critical grader. Tough essay exams and attendance is necessary

Really tough teacher but just do what she asks: handing in assignments on time, being on time for class. Pay close attention to details she wants you to include in outlines, speeches, etc. If you are lazy and very bad at making it to class on time avoid taking her. Not a teacher you can get away with a BS excuse whatsoever.

This is the worst teacher I have ever had. She has a major attitude problem. If you walked into class 2 seconds after it started she would call you out in front of everyone and tell you to go home. She has no consideration for people who are not full time students.

Do not take her class if you're lazy. You WILL have to actually work hard and she can see through sloppy work. Confusing at times, especially when she says what she wants on the speeches. Can be rude and snappy at times, do not be late or she will be mad at you every time. She doesn't do lectures, so prepare to teach yourself on the two exams.

worst professor i've ever had. she's rude, doesn't respect anyones opinion in class, and the hardest grader. her quizes are extremely tough. i enjoyed the material covered in class but not her. can't approach her with any questions, pretty much your on your own if you take a class with her.

Honestly the worst! Her grading is based on her opinion not whether you are right or wrong (she will take off points for not being specific about something completely irrelevant to the question). I am taking FYS with her and it is like a chore! I haven't learned anything because she talks a bunch of useless stuff and never gets to the point.

Dr. Endress is one of the best Comm professors at RIC. She is not the easiest but she cares the most about the future of her students. She will guide you towards your future if you allow her. She can be rigid at times but if you want a good education she is one of your best bets. I took her many times and I would again if I could.
