Comment:

It's a big lecture hall, he doesn't know our names or take attendance, but it's not an easy class. He's not a super clear professor, and doesn't explain things super well, so it helps to already have a background in accounting. He tries to make jokes but sometimes we're too stressed out to laugh. He goes super fast and there are basically no tests.

A phenomenal teacher. By far the best teacher I've ever had. Threatened pop quizzes often, but rarely collected them. Tests were straightforward, and if you came out of this class not understanding material, it was your own doing because he was always there to help

Very disappointed at the way this class was taught. His class has no structure. There's no homework or exercise problems to practice from. The only thing u study from are things that he says in class and unclear problems that he writes on the board. It's ridiculous that he's the only prof who teaches this course and he also teaches Intermediate II

Don't listen to other people REALLY. He is an amazing professor! I had him for Fin and Man. If you go to class, take notes, and pay attention his tests are VERY straightforward. Just practice outside of class (aka HW). He gives weekly quizzes so you dont fall behind and you get a cheat sheet on the exams which helps you review topics when studying.

He challenges the students but also is kind in overall grading. The majority of what you will be tested on is gone over in detail in class and you rarely need the book. If you do need extra practice he has tools online to generate problems. He is not an easy teacher, but fair and straight forward.

Class is pretty hard in general. He's a good teacher, he tells you exactly what's going to be on the exam and teaches exactly whats on quizzes. Frequent quizzes but they're not bad. Problems in the book aren't really helpful, but read the chapter and he clarifies. Overall, he is nice and helpful when you ask him to be. Great teacher for tough class

For financial its an easy class as long as your not retarded but as I've found out half of IC is. He practically went over quizzes before you take them and you get a cheat sheet on exams. Rarely was the book needed and there was no reason to do the optional homework

He's awesome. I've learned more from him than any other professor at IC. I can thank him for my interest in accounting. Challenges students, so this isn't the class to take if you just want an easy grade. But if you are willing to actually learn the material, he's wonderful. Very helpful.

Comment:

Very very good professor especially if you are smart student. He doesn't want his students to cram the concepts but to understand them, which makes him different from many other 'easy' (just plug in the formula) professors. If you want to dive in the concepts of the Acct and Business, he is the rigth person. If you want easy A, take D. Simmons.

This is the first class I have EVER gotten lower than a B in. He is horribly unclear. He treats all of his students as though they wer accounting majors (less than half of my class were acct. majors). Completely unfair.

He's a nice guy and obviously loves his boat a lot... but he made me despise the entire subject of accounting, he got a thrill out of making the tests as hard as possible, and the class average was low. Don't recommend him as a professor but is an ok guy.

I had the pleasure of experiencing Lippit first hand during a review session for accounting, instead of explaining things in an understanding tone, he made wise cracks, then proceeded to give out the most impossible exam i have ever taken at this school
