Team learning. That's what this class is all about. It keeps things fresh and different from your typical accounting class. You'll learn lots, but be prepared. Lots of material to cover with lots of deliverables and tests. Prof is chill, laid back, but fosters learning which is important. Good luck!

First of all, her class is about "team learning", not a lecture. Theres always some worksheets to work on during class with our group, and if we need help she's there to answer any questions. I didn't no what to think about her method at first, but I kind of like it now. Very nice lady.

Valerie is a good lecturer and helpful teacher outside of class. However, she rarely teaches in class. The class is based on 'team-learning' environment. That means you or your group members have to read the text a lot to learn. Very difficult for first year students. If you must take it, at least take FNCE 3227 first! Maybe Joan Barlow is better.
