He is not a good professor! You have to do good on the first 2 tests to get pass because the the last one is hard and he will tell you that. I thought I was ready for the first test the material he taught was easy and we could have a cheat sheet on the test but I still did bad. Don't take him!

In my online class, one exam that was stated to be mandatory, between these couple of hours; was over a week late to be posted. No response from Prof., our class had to reach out to dept. chair who couldn't get ahold of him either. Most fail. Nothing to study but book and his scribbles Don't read the book, only the scribbles. KNOW THOSE !!!!!

Professor Safarian flat out says that he does not care if his students are successful. He is difficult to understand and his poor grammar makes it very hard to understand what he is asking on tests. Also, your grade is completely based on how well you perform on the tests.

Not a bad professor. Do the work and you will be fine. I went into this class knowing nothing about Stats and came out with an A. Show up and do the work and you'll be fine. Talk to him he made an error on grading one of my tests and fixed it right away. There is no homework but the tests are your grade. DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS. ALL OF THEM.

Hard to understand his accent at the speed he lectures. Lectures consist of you watching him do problems you've never seen and he doesn't teach then the last 20 minutes he rambles on about stuff completely unrelated to stats. Shows up 10 min late every day and lectures are done in 25-30 minutes. grade based on 50 MC questions. Terrible professor.

Safarian does NOT teach, he gives examples and expects you to understand where he pulls numbers and symbols from. If you can teach yourself from example you will be fine. Safarian is a TERRIBLE prof, I would not recommend him to anyone.

I was able to do Calc 1 and Calc 2 before changing my major to a business one. Saying that, this Stats class was much harder than it needed to be. He is a smart professor, but his math tests are multiple choice and very hard.

I am actually astounded that Professor Safarian is rated so badly on here! Yes, ECON322 is difficult, and yes, you need to attend class to understand...but isn't that what school is for? Attend class, do your homework, and ask for help if you need it. He's a nice person with good advice for widening one's horizon beyond the scope of the degree.

I hate stats and was scared after having to take him. I ended up with a C which is fine with me. I was worried I wouldn't pass and have to retake it. Study/do HW/ go to class. I am horrible at math and I passed. If you talk to him after test and you got wrong answer but did right work or had it written he will add pts.

All he does is give you 2 example problems a day and then talks about how corrupt WSU and the US is. Comes in late, leaves early, doesnt respond to e-mails, just overall a bad professor. Three tests for the class and your grade is based on 50 scantron questions. (15-20 q's per test) all questions are hard

By far worst math teacher! Late every day and leaves 20 minutes early every class. Discusses more about the probability of us failing tests than the probability in the questions. 3 tests that only get harder(he'll let you know that.) Avoid him if you can despite him taking majority of the classes.

I wish he would take more time teaching our class rather than bashing WSU faculty and administration. Shows up 10 minutes late, just gives examples rather than teaching, lets us out 30 minutes early. Why can't a math professor teach this class or someone who actually cares about students or WSU.

The professor is not as bad as others have made him out to be. If math isn't your thing, you may want to try another teacher. However, I thought this teacher did a great job of simplifying the material. A page of notes for every test!

Grades crusader. Half the class failed or dropped. Tests are very difficult and he doesn't curve at all. He lectures fast. The way to do well is to just copy down everything he writes and learn it later. A burden. Avoid. Please.

You have three exams and 2 SAS problems. The first SAS is simple, but the second one is not clear at all and he does not explain it at all. The only way to do well in the class is to know every name that a term can be known by. CLASS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED FALL OF 2010 FOR BUSINESS MAJORS

The worst teacher I have ever had. Shows up late, teaches nothing. The tests are made difficult if you don't understand the base material. The book is overpriced and almost completely unnecessary. Overall this guy doesn't have a knack for teaching or organization, AVOID at all costs.

This guy should be fired. He says that someone who has been doing stats for 20 years couldn't do well on his final. I will regret coming to Winona State if professors like this continue to teach here. He is a waste of your time and money!!!

Comes to class late, leaves early, dodges every question, no organization to his handouts or lecture, gives out difficult tests and pointless assignments. You are allowed a cheat sheet on tests, there is no final, and he curves grades. You decide. Personally, I would recommend him to no one.
