Wanna do DSP? The FUNDAMENTALS of telecommunication is all about encoding signals to enable accurate reception. Dr Devarajan wants you to understand the material,but he makes it easy to get behind despite his incessant warnings. You cannot complete the final project without several meetings outside of class. Needs to provide macroscopic p.o.v.

Comment:

One of the must take courses at UTA. The course the clarifies fundamentals of probability theory. Lectures are very interactive. If you participate, most of the concepts are cleared in class. He explains all the concepts with practical examples. Professor is easily available for doubts, discussions. Solve homework, really helps in test.

The lectures are interesting. He keeps you engaged by asking you questions pertaining to the specific topic he is lecturing. However, I will say that his tests are tough and you need to go beyond the lectures, thoroughly understand the topic reading the book, which could be tedious sometimes.

Good lectures if you are interested in the material. Show some initiative and he is receptive if you prioritize concept over the pure math. If you end up being able to explain everything you learn in class to a non-EE you should be fine.

I liked him. He seems to care deeply about student's success and the class itself. Lectures can be confusing, because of the material, but don't be afraid to ask for help. He is very helpful, if you ask. He'll scold you if you don't ask for help. His tests are tough, but fair. Do the HW, and take good notes. He curves at the end. I'd take him again

Material could be a bit more clear-cut - Maybe summaries with bullet points or more tables governing which concept applies to which problem. Exam problems are derived from homework problems and example problems in the textbook, which makes studying a bit easier. Also had this professor for EE4330 (Telecommunications).

He is overall a good professor. He usually brings exam question from the end of chapter problems. His lecture is basically him going over chapter and doing examples and proofs. I did not learn much. He curves so average is B.

A very experienced graduate level professor ,but i took an undergrad class with him .He makes materials easy to understand .He puts class-room recorded videos on blackboard, which makes easier to study. Plus he is considerate . He let me take final exam even when i was 1.5 hr late .

He is a good professor very helpful and cares about the students. Exams are ok, most of the time he will have 1 or 2 questions from h.w. Exam avg is like 50. Need to keep w/work and study. One annoying things is he randomly picks on student in class and asks u questions, if u don't know he will be picking on you a lot.

Worst professor at the two universities I've attended for undergrad and grad classes. Unhelpful, unclear instructions, very slowt to return phone calls or emails. If you can avoid this professor, do it.
