Vern is a great professor, and always takes the time to clarify different concepts. He will work you hard, but Professor Martin's students are among the best in the field of accounting. If you work hard, you will do well. Stay away if you're lazy, guys!

He was very demeaning and made you feel stupid, he would frequently say 'you should know this'. He was helpful outside of class but still very critical. His own homework mixed with the book work made it a little confusing. He doesn't teach homework til after you go over it in class. Overall I hated the class, the first bad grade I've had.

leave vern alone.... i'm not an accounting major and i still loved his class... he likes to have fun... so what, his tests are difficult, but at least you learn the material.. and for an accounting prof, he's not very boring.. nice guy-- i would recommend him if you are willing to work hard and do what he requires

You have to pay attention at all times or he will make you look stupid. His tests are difficult, but he does tell you what problems are be on it in class. I would recommend him to accounting majors because he forces you to learn the material and he knows his stuff. If your not then avoid the class.

I took acct. senior yr. of higschool which helped ALOT. So to me this class was easy until we got to stuff that I hadnt done in h.s. He doesn't explain things that clearly but if you ask him personally he can usually help you. He does try to make accounting fun by his stories and jokes.

He's... an accounting prof. And that's great, but he's not so great at a Bible course. He wasted my time, and everytime I would write a paper, he'd tell me that he couldn't "follow my organization". Even after I checked with both roommates and my RA. Everyone got that comment, how strange. O.o

Vern is the best accounting prof in the apartment! Granted, his tests are hard, but he pushes you to learn. Plus, he's HILARIOUS! Who else would tell you to keep your spouse alive on death bed jsut for the tax benefits! He's difficult..but worth it.

In the FYS Battle for the Bible this guy was such a waste of time. No lie the class was my most annoying class I had. He's an accounting prof. in charge of leading a Bible class and has zero Biblical knowledge to answer questions.
