This guy is just great - very knowledgeable. Seems quiet at first, but I believe so many people have been jerks taking him for granted that he just keeps to himself now. If you ask him to help, he helps exponentially! Take this prof to learn a lot through hands on experience.

For those that have complaints, here is the issue - This is COLLEGE.Ask questions, extend interest beyond what is "required". If oyu want an in depth level of instruction, this is the guy for the job, no doubt. I have learned more in his class than my others this way.Go out of your way and he goes out of his. It's that easy!He is smart and funny!

Vic is one of my favorite profs at NMU. The class was really interesting, even though I've taking theater before. He is really smart and nice. His tests are really easy, especially if you go to class. He is always willing to help, but if you want a short answer your probably out of luck. He can be really quiet at times. Great prof, take him!!

FRESHMEN! Don't fall into the trap that is FYE! Freshmen seminar is a joke, you learn how to study... if you can't study why are you in college? It's an easy A sure, but i'd rather not feel like i'm wasting my time here.

I find him extremely boring. He sits in his chair and you can never see to take notes, cuz he doesnt move from his one postion for the entire class period.Seems genuine and nice, however needs to learn how to spice things up a bit.

Really nice guy, really loves his cats. Is a bit out of the loop in the theatre world but cares for his students and wants them to make it in the world, practices tough love. Skip the design classes for the most part. recommend: props and stage make-up or theatre history (only if you are up to it)

Useless as a design instructor. The class is more or less a personal exercise in self-esteem as opposed to a design class. But if you have thick skin, and can get him off track with a good question, you'll get by. History class is nasty.
