Comment:

I took Biology 112 with her and it was hard. In the beginning, I did bad on my first exam but then I realized that memorizing the questions of the homework was the best way to study. I would recommend you to do the Field Museum Extra credit. All her quizzes are extra credit for the exam, do not miss a class, you'll need those extra points.

I would not take a class taught by this professor again. She was not helpful and gave homework that was above undergradate comprehension. Myself and many of my peers needed help outside of class and she was not available. I consulted family members for H.W help.

No to McKinley: Rude to her students, lessons are hard and constantly changes instruction while you're in the middle of the lab, hard to understand, if you go to her office during her designated time she won't be there.

At the end of the semester. This professor gave incomplete grades to me and other students without telling us why. Then she went on a vacation and wasn't able to be reached for several days. She doesn't care about her students.

This class is absolutely terrible. Worst class I've ever encountered. She is not very helpful. Her work is super overwhelming. Mastering microbiology is due before EVERY class and she makes them like 50 questions long. She assigns like 5 labs per lab section and expects that you finish them all. You can tell that this class is her life.

It is not easy, no moment is wasted and you will learn a lot. The only reason I?m not marking it higher is while I can deal with a professor with attitude since they have earned it, the TA, not so much. The session got kind of crazy from that combo.

Tough class but she's an excellent teacher very rarely you will find someone whom you love listening too. The first exam I got a B but worked hard and got good in my papers leading to an A. dry personality with very high expectations. she is tough and can lecture 4 hrs withot giving you any break.taking her classes can be exhausting and frustrating, but worth it. in one week class instructions were not very clear possibly due to lack of organization, but overall worht it. she is how a bio prof. should be like. she is good!

Honors Science as a Way of Knowing. VERY difficult, but you will get a lot out of this class. McKinley responds to email, is very helpful, makes time for students.
