I LOVED THIS PROFESSOR!!! He was extremely nice and funny, and especially helpful if you ask him questions. He made the subject extremely interesting, especially for someone like me who's a bio major. The class is somewhat difficult, not because the subject matter is hard, but because you have to take good notes and study the material well.

Professor Ryan is great. One of my favorite professors thus far. He can make any class interesting, which is quite difficult for a general history class. Objective portion of tests and quizzes are very easy, but the essays are somewhat difficult, but if you include a lot of details you should be fine.

Dr. Ryan is a very good teacher and one that I recommend. His quizzes and tests are relatively easy on the objective part, but it is the essay part that you have to watch. You must be overly extensive. He really is a great teacher though. Really enjoys what he teaches and does it with much enthusiasm. He will keep you interested.

I can't put into words the magnitude of my man-crush on Dr. Ryan. He is brilliant and damn funny as well. If I grow up to be 1/10 as cool as Dr. Ryan, my life will be complete. And if you just pay attention in class, you'll do fine.

Good lecturer. He knows his history and mixes humor into every lecture. The only downside is that I found he is a picky grader. He looks for key words when he grades and if you don't use them you're out of luck.

Great professor! I have 124 credit hours and this guy is definitely in the top 4 or 5 best professors I've ever had. He's very energetic and brings the topic to life. I was extremely interested in the topic before taking the class, but even if you don't like history he'll make history interesting for you. I'm just sad I can't take him next semester

Loved this professor! Bring a laptop for notes because he moves through his lecture quickly. Tests and quizzes based off his lectures (I never even bought the book) so you need to pay attention but does not take attendance, so you can always find a friend who takes good notes if you have to miss. Great class overall!

Excellent teacher, very laid-back. Quiz's and tests are rather easy as long as you review your notes from class. Does not take attendance. Has a good sense of humor. I highly suggest you take this professor.

Great teacher. Didn't like history coming in but he makes it very interesting and the time goes by quickly! I'd defintely recommend this teacher to you. Just go to class, take good notes, and you should be in good shape. He doesn't try to trick you. Count how many times he says: "In that regard.." :)
