Not a bad guy, just needs to actually teach the material. He walks into class often late, talks about whatever for 10 min, occasionally discusses an assignment, then just sits behind his computer screen and says nothing else for the hour-2hrs left in the class while scrolling through Facebook. Not much help at all. Everyone is often just confused.

He is not an effective professor. Stay away of him. You won't pass. He came, tells you his family story, talks about team winning games. Cannot even explain the materials, but gives you a bunch of codes to execute and when you stuck somewhere he considers you as a mediocre.

He won't give you all the answers once you are further into the class. This is his way of teaching you how to look for your own code mistakes and how to do your own debugging. I had some trouble in a test and he gave me extra time to finish it. I skipped a class so I was lost in the next couple assignments. He'll give you specific grading criteria.

Professor Wrice is a unique individual, when I had him for a UCC college success class he spoke on and on about his family and about how "God could be a 17 year old boy on a computer screen," he's not a bad man, he just isn't someone I'd advice anyone to take!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM HIM *he will also make you feel as though everything you say is wrong*

I have very little computer knowledge. This professor really helps you get through the subject if you ask questions. You have to still do the work. I would go to the library and lab to finish my assignments, but in class, he would always help me understand if I was having any confusion. Got an "A" in class but I had to work for it. Great teacher!

Professor Wrice may not be the greatest at explaining programming concepts to beginners, but with the videos and powerpoints he provides alongside his "lecture" there's no reason why you shouldn't have an A. He is flexible with assignments when he sees that you're trying. Beware, he'll be as careless about your grade as you are about his class.

the other reviews that rated him good are lies. they are probably professor wrice himself making those positive reviews. he is a terrible teacher cause he don't teach and he is a very lazy grader and is unfair when it comes to grading assignments, quizzes and tests.

he is a TERRIBLE TEACHER!!!!!!, I thought I knew what to do in programming but he makes assignments and quizzes much harder by adding more stuff then you already need. the way he grades assignments is very unfair and will subtract -40 points if you don't do it exactly way. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Professor Wrice is the best professor at UCC. Probably the most personable person at the school. Loves to talk about anything, especially football. He is a tough grader. If you want help ask him for it because he will help you. I took him twice and got an A and a B+. Do your work and ull be fine. His class is really fun and has a great atmosphere
