Comment:

Not very helpful or clear. There's two tests he assigns that are done on blackboard clearly made up by the computer because the choices you have to chose from are ridiculous. Really tough class to sit through - so boring. Make sure you know your APA. On assignments it'll determine whether you pass or fail, not the actual quality of your work.

Takes about 2 days to respond to a time-sensitive email. Very unclear about expectations and when you ask him to clarify he talks in circles without actually clarifying. Take an equivalent class at a different college, for your own sake. Don't bother buying the textbook; you never even open it.

Vincent is calm & a good teacher. However, don't forget your text book because it upsets him. He is very dry & it's hard to get a sense of passion for his class.

Great professor! He is interesting, invested in his topic and very helpful. Vinnie is one of the best teachers I have had at USM. I would recommend him to any social work student!

Comment:

Research was very hard, very helpful getting through the IRB process however not very helpful when trying to use SPSS and trying to figure out what tests to run or how to run them. Forget doing qualitative research, homework assignment was very hard and he only spent a week. He hardly ever responds to e-mail's.

Extremely fair with assignments. He has online tests but they're short and you must understand what you're reading. The wording is iffy, so make sure you understand what you're reading. He reads his power points; very simple minded man. Clear cut and gives you a variety of assigments to do well in the course. Boring subject matter but great man!

Vinney is a great professor. Really respectful to his students and really listens to you. He is available for help when you ask for him. He's an easy grader on papers but his exams are difficult. His study guides does NOT reflect his exam. You must read and understand every chapter to even know what the test deals with.

Professor Faherty was super laid-back and EASY! Anyone that did not ace his class did so because they did not do the little work that was expected. Attend class and print his PowerPoints. He uses them religiously.
