Teacher's online audio ppt lectures are treacherous. I'm on my game and cannot stand his online lectures. Each slide is only 3 sentences but spends forever rambling. You have to know when to transition with no warning. He'll randomly start talking about something new and thats how you know to move on to the next slide. FML almost done. GRADES HARD

His 401 online is very hard for an online course. Midterms quizzes and activities all hard. Also has discussions for the week due at midnight on Sundays for THAT week meaning they are due before the week even starts. I cannot recommend him as his expectations are very high despite having little knowledge of his student base. A very rigorous course.

401 online. I got an A. He gave us 50 points extra credit if you want to take the extra quiz, He compensated hard questions with grading them up on the exams. I liked him. English is my second language and I was really afraid of him when I started this class.

I took Prof. Merrill for Epidemiology online and let me just say this course was a CHALLENGE. Although I learned a lot, he can some times be mean and condescending to his students. You MUST read the chapters, they are very helpful. Just don't slack off at any point in the semester and you should earn the grade you work for.

Took him online for Epidemiology. He made himself available via email & Skype. Recorded lectures for almost every powerpoint, so you felt like you were getting the information various ways. Took a long time to get grades back, but he always responded via email to me. Tests were hard, but open book. You have to read the book to do well.

Very hard on grading papers.. the the quizzes and mid=term, final all have essay question and he grade them really hard. He likes to think of himself as helpful but he is not. ewww, ewww, eww on this class

Dr. Merrill is very helpful when it's come to clarification about the lecture. Although he's a hard grader, but it's worth it for taking his class. Be on time or he will pick on you when you arrived late. It's a challenging class and requires alot of reading but just do the work and you will be fine.

He's not as bad as what everyone makes him seem althought he is a hard grader and has high expectations of all his students. Once he knows you name there goes the restof your semester. Be on time, dont ever try to tell him he' wrong or you'll wish you were never in that class agin. He will pick on everyone for random questions. Just do the work!

he is one of the hardest professor i have had, but he is helpful. just do the readings, study hard, and dont be afraid to ask questions during class. he can be sarcastic with you front of the class so be cool with him. BE ON TIME!
