Comment:

Virginia, is one of the best and most liked professors I've ever had. Her editing course was very helpful, and I learned a lot from her. She was great to work with in my independent study program where I worked on a film of hers about Brighton Beach. I graduated awhile back, even today I still remember the lessons she taught.

Comment:

The sweetest prof. i've met at BC. Very fair, and surprisingly funny. Some of the films were a snooze, but the HW and final were easy. I learned alot about the art of Film Editing in her class. Prof. Brooks you will definitely be missed!

She is very nice and very fair. The text is interesting and not difficult to understand. Her class is informative and I learned a lot about the different kinds of documentaries. Her own film with the dancing kids is cute. I recommend this class.

Comment:

She's intelligent, interesting, and one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. Her friendly attitude combined with the wonderful films she selects made the class a joy to take. She's a fair grader too. However the readings were boring and so were a few of the films. Aside from that she's a great teacher. She has lots of class discussions. Very fun.

shows mostly boring films the entire class & talks very little about them, which have nothing to do w/ the midterm or quizzes. a midterm, 2 quizzes, and a final paper. questions come straight from the required reading but her two quizzes are pop & can cover basically anything. very nice and tries to help those who are struggling.sweet elderly lady.

Ms Brooks is the greatest. She is knowlegeable in film theory and film production. Having her as a teacher was a high point in college. She is also a fantastic humanbeing, and someone who will help you with your projects long after you've graduated.
