This instructor is rude, senile and moody. Of course the material is easy if you have even a remote understanding of the English language. However, her grading is ridiculous. The only thing difficult about her class is her attitude. If you must take her class, take it in the summer so that you only have to tolerate her for 6 weeks.

I took Dr. Larsen's class, and I felt that she was fair, yet strict. Some you guy's post's said that she was old and she had hearing problems! WOW! She has feelings to! Who would have thought it??? But she is one of the best teachers I have ever had, and her knowledge, wisdom, and teachings will stay with me for the rest of my life!

This class is an easy B. If you are a great writer, then you may get an A. It's not easy, since he's a harsh grader. This class may prove difficult for ESL students. Probably something bad happened to her life. My friends who had taken her class before said she was helpful and nice, but she was far from helpful. She was really moody and even yell sometimes. She frequently loses students' papers, and she wasn't even responsible for her own words! One of the worst teachers at SJSU. She is too old to be a teacher.

Larsen is ok. Reality is that she is older and doesn't always hear the questions asked. She can be cranky, but she can be very sweet too sometimes. It's very difficult to get an A even if English is your native language. Follow directions CAREFULLY. The material is fairly useful though and overall you could do worse than Larsen.

I don't like her. She plays favorates and has unstable mood. Sometimes she yells at us, not nice at all. Don't ask her questions if she is not happy(sometimes it's hard to tell). Whatever I performed on the papers, the grade is very solid B. Avoid her!! It's easy to pass, but very hard to hit A.

Very nice teacher. Just follow instructions and you will do fine. Be nice to her and she will be nice to you when grading your papers. Very useful class for the real world. HW is easy and there is not much to read. Just check grammar and instructions.

Dr. Larsen is extremely fair. Took her for the summer course so work load probably not as heavy as regular semester. Just follow instructions carefully and be on time, she hates that. A great preparatory course for real-life business people.
