She's okay. Class wasn't hard, easier than the PSC 101 i took. I'd give her about an 89% on helpfulness and lectures were a bit dull, but informative. What bothered me was that she seemed unwilling to give me an 'A' on any test, but I was always late and never spoke up. Guess you gotta be 'involved.'

Ok first of all, I think this woman is actually an android. She has no discernable sense of humor and seems to lack most basic human emotions. She is however very knowledgable of the subject matter, but this is offset by the overwhelming boringness of her teaching style. Every class is a fight to stay awake. Not a terrible teacher, but not fun.

Dr. Martin was awesome. She grades pretty hard. However, this is a consequence of her paying some pretty rapt attention to what you're writing--she isn't going to let you slide on some specific mistakes just because you get the "general idea", and she'll help you understand where you went wrong. I know a lot about Russian history thanks to her.

Class is extremly boring! Tests are tedious and require large amounts of memorization. On the final for instance, we are required to memorize 50 id's knowing them well enough to write at least 6 sentences on each. Memorize 8 short answer questions, and 2 full length comprehensive essays. She is crazy.

I like her. She is indeed knowledgeable, and the fact that she appears to be anti-feminazi immediately gained my admiration and respect. haha. I do have trouble staying awake in her class sometimes, but I love the subject andshe has successfully pounded Russian history into my brain. Oh, she's also pretty funny when it comes to reading boring material. E.g., she said of the Ulozhenie that she asked herself a couple of times why she even assigned the reading of it because it's so tedious. Anyway, she's cool.

She's dull, but fine. She's knowledgable, and unlike Dr. Gerberding, actually managed to cover everything the course was supposed to cover. She was a fairly hard grader, but it's possible to do well in her classes.
