Comment:

Ginger was extremely strict. If you didn't know the material, she knew it and called you out on it so you made sure you knew it next time and didn't look like a fool. She's the best chem teacher I've ever had, and I haven't forgotten a thing I learned from her, for how strict she is with you now, you'll love her for it later, trust me!

had her for a substitute, worst professor I've ever had in my life. I didn't learn a things from her and she wasn't happy unless you did everything exactly her way. Plus she made you stay in lab for two hours and study even if the actual lab only took 5 minutes. I would NEVER take her class again.

Very nice lady and would go out of her way to help you, but she is very strict about doing the problems her way (if you dont they're wrong) and perhaps goes a little too deep into the matter for an entry level class.

I am currenly taking Weaver but for some reason a professor was hospitalized due to some illness and Weaver had to substitute... for some reason Ferris called Mrs. Virginia Shepler to take Weaver's place for a couple of weeks... When I had her for lab (my 1st time meeting her) she was soOooOOoOO MEAN... but in the end I think she likes me haha

She is awful. I had Weaver for the first 4 weeks, but he took over someone else's spot for some reason and now I'm stuck with this poor excuse of a prof. She was probably around for the advent of chemistry in the first place. After just ONE, I repeat ONE lab section, I want my tuition back. Let's just say that this is going to be a long semester.

She is a good teacher as far as helping students understand the material. She needs work when it comes to professionalism in communication with students. She is rude and has a chip on her shoulder. She seems to bring her personal problems to work with her and takes her frustrations out on her students. Good teacher but bad relationship skills.

I really like Mrs. Shepler. She is very tough but she gets you ready for that next class. If you approch her for help, she will bend over backwards to help you. She has a humor that she doesn't show until about half-way through the term, but when she does, she is funny. WHATEVER!!!

Horrible!! I felt like I was in Boot Camp for Chem students. Constant yelling, a lot of sarcasm, and it's HER way or NO way. Do NOT take Shepler if you want to keep your GPA and self-respect.

Most people think she is a mean teacher, however if you arent lazy like a lot of college students she is actually a great teacher. As long as you work hard and try she is one of the most helpful teachers Ive ever had. I recommend if you take school seriously and want to learn take her. If you want to learn Chemistry take her!!!, she actually cares!

This woman is a total ****. she expects so much out of you and if you dont give it 110% youll fail she gives extra crdit quizzes but they arnt usually helpful and her exams are extremely hard i wouldne recommend this class to anyone who wont try hard and if you need it good luck cuz shes the only one who teaches chem 103

She is really tough and expects a lot. However, this really makes you learn the material. If you do the work and come to class, you will be fine. She is very willing to help if you show an interest in your grade. She gives over a hundred points in extra credit- you just have to work for them. It is easy to earn a good grade, you just have to work.

Shepler is an awesome teacher and i would reccommend her for anyone that has to advance to upper level chemistry. She is tough and expects a lot of work, but it helps you understand the material. The people complaining about her are idiots and didn't try. Take her.

I've never seen anything like it in my life. I am a 4.0 student and dropped the class after a week due to her poor attitude towards students. I was very dissapointed because I really wanted to take the class(I didn't have to take it) because I never had chem before. I just shake my head every time I think about it. It's a shame.
