DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I dreaded going to this class every time. Nitpicks your answers for the smallest grammar mistakes, but makes huge mistakes on syllabus like posting the wrong exam date. She is uninterested in what she herself is saying and rambles. Grades your class notes specifically. Do yourself a favor and choose a different professor

Very easy course. 1 online hw assignment weekly. MANY extra credit opportunities, 2 exams & no overall final. Attendance is not mandatory, but she collects your book of notes at end of semester for a lot of points. Go to class & review study guide and exams are easy. Lectures may get long or boring but overall an easy class. Prof responds fast.

If you pay attention and put a little effort into the class, you will get an A. She's very experienced and definitely knows what she's doing. Attendance isn't mandatory, but is highly recommended as she goes into detail on confusing topics and gives extra credit opportunities nearly everyday. She's a tough grader but will help so long as you ask.

Possibly the worst teacher of all time! Dreaded her class,quizzes, and tests (all were impossible). Treats you like you are incompetent and in 1st grade, wont even let you use the bathroom. If you miss two classes, don't expect higher than C-, and don't expect her to excuse you from anything, wont accept drs. notes AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

This prof is a wealth of knowledge. Keeps the class interesting with discussion and activities. She likes to use movies to help relate theory to life. Have to be a decent note taker. If you pay attention and participate she is willing to give plenty of opportunity for you to earn credit to balance your grade.

This lady needs to quit teaching immediately. She is bitter and old. Any good comment about her has to be done by her kid or her on here because there isn't a single person I know in my class that liked her. Half the class dropped. And the half that didn't wanted to. She isn't very nice at all. Treats you like you're in 5th grade. You can't get up to use the bathroom without her freaking out, let alone look at your cell phone. Her tests are really hard, not what we cover in class. if you miss 2 classes you lose all 50 of your participation points. She is terrible. A very mean lady. AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS

I sit there for two hours watching her stumble over her words and thoughts. I don't learn a single thing while sitting in class. I would be better off just reading the book all period since her tests are over the book. Quizes have questions over the lecture and she never even said anything during her lecture about it. Too strict for attendance.

Would definitely recommend taking another professor if at all possible. The quizzes are out of the book and fairly easy, but the tests are almost impossible. I studied a ton then honestly thought I was taking the wrong exam when I went to CBT to take the first one. She doesn't explain much, you can only miss two classes, and it's very boring. Avoid

She wasnt a very good teacher- her tests had nothing to do with what she taught. one helpful hint is that all of her quizzes are from the "chapter review quizzes" at the end of each chapter. I just memorized those before class and was golden on the quizzes. Besides that make sure you dont miss this terribly boring class bc you can only miss two

The class wasn't too exciting, but if you do the work you can get an A. She offers extra credit and the quizzes weren't too bad. I know there are a lot of other Soc profs. that are a lot easier with a lot less work. We had 11 quizzes, 4 exams, and 3 papers. yuck. But overall, not too bad!

Most horrible professor i have had yet She was mean and would ask "what do i have to do to get you all to SHUT UP" "what part of shut up dont you understand" quizzes were too hard, felt like i was playing trivial pursuit when taking tests b/c none of the material was ever covered. big waste of time, money, and effort.
