I first took one of his 300 level classes while I was still in high school. He was my influence to major in history. He is fun, he is demanding, he is very easy to work with if you want to do the work. Louisiana Tech is not as good now that he's retired.

I took Meade for Intro to Archeology and I have rarely worked harder in a class. You have to really listen to everything he says and write it down and remmber it all for the final, because though there seems to be but a little information, there's really a great deal. If you make a 100 on the final, its an automatic A in the course!

Meade is a cool guy - very intersting but he could probably test a little differently - What's wrong with a little multiple choice every now and then? If you take him - know your dates - places - people, etc. If you don't wanna go to class, take notes, memorize 100 pages of notes for tests, ect. - he's not for you!

This tests are brutal because he's another one of those goobers that prefers to cover 5 weeks of class with 1 test. Why not break it down? Would it be that much more work?! Aside from that, he's good. Far better than Cook. Cook is as boring as staring at your desk when you've had too much caffine.

This class is great if you like history, he teaches without a book, you take like 8 pages of notes each day and its tought to study all the notes for the test, the test are difficult, but Ex Marine Meade makes the class fun and interesting with jokes. Great Guy. Great teacher,really Knows his stuff.

Took him for Etruscan Archeaology-great for History majors!Do not take unless u are a history major or awesome with names/dates.Will learn a lot in this class,even a little history.Class was a waste b/c most of what we learned were football mascots and alumni.I want my history elective back!!

I am a history major and I found this man to be very very interesting. he makes the class fun by adding humor and stories about history. write down everything he puts on the board, tests are difficult only because there is so much material to retain you don't know what will exactly be on the test

gives lots of notes, make sure your write down what he puts on the board- will never forget when narmer unified egypt...pina coladas, gravy, chili, second grade...loved the class overall, very hard tests b/c there is so much information-but if you study well...the tests usually only took me 15 min

Dr. Meade is an awesome teacher. He's extremely entertaining and makes class interesting. There is never a dull moment. BUT....his tests are really difficult. If you're good at history, take him, if not....you might wanna think twice about it.

TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM. Take him for any history course and you will come out amazed. Take him for the Roman Republic in the Winter or in the Spring. He's awesome and is the reincarnation of Caesar and will tell you so. Also don't forget gravy and pina coladas but not Chili! Tests are hard
