I loved this class. She's super nice, and knows this class is mostly not philosophy majors. Lectures can get a little long, but provides a lot of small group discussion. Provides lots of chances to have your work checked so to guarantee an A.

I was unsure about taking a philosophy class, but Professor Torres was so wonderful that I'm going to be taking more! Her class is engaging and absolutely fascinating. She gets so excited about the material and gets you excited too. Shes an absolute gem.

Wanda is absolutely amazing. In my class we have one essay a week, but she is so caring and immersive and really helps her students understand what is happening. Plus she wrote the textbook so she knows whats in it.

Loved the way this class was structured! Each week focuses on a different philosopher or theorist and she incorporates multicultural and feminist perspectives in addition to the classics like socrates and Confucius. Wanda encourages her students to develop their own philosophic thinking, i loved her socratic style of teaching.

I took the PHIL-152 course last semester (Spring) and it was a pleasure to have Wanda as a professor. She is very knowledgable and confident in what she has to deliver, she challenges students to explore new ideas and express clarity during discussions and assignments. Though some of the lectures a bit long, there was no dull moment.

I found her manner to be extremely rude and off-putting. She never gave praise for what we did right, only criticism on what we did wrong. It was abrasive and discouraging. I honestly can't understand why everyone loves her.

Wanda is great. Symbolic logic is a hellish subject but she makes it fun. All exams are done in groups outside of class, having a team to work with makes it easier. The coursework is surprisingly easy and Wanda's classes are open and informal. As much fun as this subject could be. Great for filling Math mode.

Wanda is a great teacher who really understands the material she is teaching. The only disadvantage is that if you don't get something it is hard for her to understand why, but she is pretty good at clarifying the material to you. She is also very funny and I would recommend taking a class with her.

Wanda is great! She is intelligent and very helpful. The material could be boring if maybe taught in a different way, but she made interesting. She encourages everyone to participate, and has a very hands on attitude. I'm going to miss this class and Wanda!
