Overall: 100% NOT Recommended (Save time and money) Cons: Simply run through the slides. Doesn't teach well. Students have to learn on their own. He makes the class heavy by giving a lots of assignments, due to that students can't take even an average heavy class. Pros: Grading policy is fixed. On an average students get good grades.

No relation between his slides & mid-terms & finals. Catches students who plagiarize,a plus.I appreciate that. Always comes late for exams & takes papers back at 9 am saying that I have a call. Even at the last minute before the exam, students are clueless what to study. Bonus assignments are life savers from getting C grade. Good Person by heart

Professor tends to read off slides and difficult to understand at times. HW and programming assignments count towards 600/1000 of your grade needed to get an A, making it easy to end up with at least a B+ with some effort. Final was very difficult and most got 50/200. Group project (300pts) with a 70%+ grade possible and 80% average

I took his OS, Network and cloud computing (coen296) in 2013. He is very knowledgeable and continuously following the industry trends and feed knowledge to the students. Students may complain about the unclear project requirements, but it happens in industry as well. His classes are boot camp for your silicon valley career!!! Lazy people avoid him!

The programming assignments are interesting and challenging, though the initial requirements aren't comprehensive. He responds quickly to emails and it doesn't take long to figure out the full requirements. Homeworks and exam questions are pretty much all taken from various textbooks, and typically cover a lot more than he goes over in class.

He is really good. In the begin I found it really difficult to undrstnd his accent but he is knowledgeable and helpful if you find any prob. Good: Prof is hard working, has included ton of materials in course. Bad: There is too much emphasis on "definitions", "keywords" and introductions to all terms in Cloud. There is very little in-depth dive. Too much time is spent on Project Preperation, Presentation etc. Suggestion: Reduce 'shallow' introduction and cover fewer in-depth topics.
