Get a tutor ASAP. Get a study group ASAP. Become familiar with the reader, IT IS YOUR BIBLE. I got an A in this class, and I only got it because I worked like crazy, literally copied and pasted stuff from his reader and had an amazing group of studymates. DONT BUY THE TEXT BOOK TRUST ME ITS A WASTE OF $$. You just need the reader!

One of the best classes I have taken. Dr R. really knows his material, and is very friendly and funny in class. He goes quick, and you need to have a deep knowledge of stats as he doesn't cover stuff you should already know. Excellent class, highly recommend to anyone interested in continuing on to graduate school, especially for psychology.

If you can figure out what he wants in his reports and you don't miss any class or any assignments, it's pretty easy to get a decent grade in the class-- a C is no problem (IF you do every assignment!). He assigns a LOT of homework. Be prepared to do lots of work each week. If you didn't do well in your previous stats class do NOT take him.

Dr. Rodgriquez's course is the hardest most rewarding class that I have taken. The subject is difficult. He provides lots of extra credit. He honors his office hours. Class participation is extra credit. Free knowledgeable tutors are available. The take home midterm and final are witches.

Reading these reviews terrified me before starting the quarter. He's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. Yes, you need to put time into your reports. Yes, it's in your best interest to go to every class. He is a little harsh-sounding in answering questions, but he will answer them. I got an A without a TA or seeing him in office hours.

He doesn't like to answer questions. He doesn't really teach you. You really need to rely on the book or online articles. He goes off in class and is super repetitive when it comes to what is stats. Best avoid this teacher if you need a good understanding of the subject.

Not always easy to understand. Ward speaks the language of statistic and mathematics. Stats 3010 is a very useful class. You can learn a lot.

He doesn't explain anything. You have to get a tutor in order to pass the class. I learned more from the tutor than I did from Rodriguez. Two midterms and a Final, and about 4 homeworks, I definitely wouldn't take this class with other hard classes. You dont need the book, but you need the reader in class with you everyday.

He doesn't do much explaining, you really need to see a tutor to get an A in his class. He gives out pop quizzes when you turn in your midterms. Warning: You probably won't get any sleep if you take his class. It literally takes 15-20 hours to do every assignment.

He is not very clear in lecture. I never looked at the text book but you NEED to get and read the Reader everything you need to know is in there. Get a study group and a TA, Jeff is great, I wouldnt have got an A w/out him. This class is hard but you learn a lot because you have to put so much time into it.

Just finished this class and yes, very challenging. Dr. Rodriguez is pretty nice though, but explanations are not clear enough. Best advice:Get TA ASAP, study-groups,study examples, know WORD; all assignments need lots of time to set up, etc. It is actually really interesting material and case studies, very high interest for psychology majors.

This professor is the worst! I took him twice for Stat 3010 and I've had to withdraw both times! He doesn't explain anything. He goes completely by the text he has, which were his own notes that no one understood. When you ask him to explain something, he won't. He's rude. He's boring. Don't take his class!

This teacher is not helpful at all. I was having a difficult time with his 1st assignment, and I kept asking him for help & I kept getting "I'm not sure what to tell you" from him. Many students complained of this also. I feel he is very sarcastic and at times arrogant. I stopped going to the class, and am planning on taking it with a diff teacher.

His class is unrealistically difficult. He lectures directly from his 900 page notes that you buy on the first day, and only tells you how to calculate various procedures by hand- then expects you to go home and use a computer program to interpret your output. He puts you down when you ask questions or admit that you need clarification. He's awful.

This class is a very hard class Rodriguez is horrible at explaining things and doesnt make adjustments to test or scores if the whole class is failing. You will have to type thats right type about 5hw assignments in a quarter. Office hrs dont help because he talks to you as if youre a stats guru. I learned more from my tutor.
