Won't let you use calculators in class even though the final exam requires a calculator. 20 point curves all his tests just so people can pass (there are no 100's...ever). Will take off points for ridiculous things like not writing a period after a mathematical sentence. Avoid at all costs.

I went to EI and he insulted my intelligence. Also, the dude said (and I quote) "You are all midshipmen and when the day is over you go back to Bancroft Hall and you get paid what an O-1 gets paid to do your job, which includes putting in 2x the class time back at home. You get paid to do your job, you have plenty of free time, you can all pass."

This professor is probably the worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life. I have spent 3 days a week in his class this whole semester and everything I have learned has been from the little study guide book that came with our text. DO NOT EVER GET THIS PROF!!! Bad grades, no understanding, waste of class time...

I'm conviced this prof is the worst teacher at the academy. He repeatedly refuses to answer questions and talks down to you when you ask him one. His tests usually have nothing to do with the homework problems. Avoid if you like getting good grades.

Hope you know calculus already because you wont be learning anymore in his class. This jolly fellow will flat out refuse to answer questions, takes off points for rediculous things that have no effect on the answer, and will usually teach 2 minutes past the bell. If you dont like learning out of a book, prepare for mathematical devastation.

I'm a plebe; I took calculus last year but didn't validate it so here I am, should be easy. With Mr. Wardlaw it is just the complete opposite. He spends too much time on proofs and puts too much emphasis on definitions and almost no time going over problems. If you do pay attention in class you'll do well on his quizzes, but tests are completely different covering nothing you learned in class but only the book. Also, at EI he falls asleep. He's a good guy but I don't recommend him.
