Dr. Bailey is an excellent teacher. I think he can stress to the students in the ensemble to play EXACTLY what the student conductor is showing. That will give the student conductor a better idea of what they need to show and improve on.

The subject matter is pretty simple for those with a music background, otherwise, there is a great deal of music jargon to learn. The grade is based on five tests which are moderately difficult. Definitely do not take this section if you are looking for an easy class. Only take this if you're serious about music, in my opinion.

If you havn't taken music before, do not take this class, you will not get an A. If you have taken music and know alot about it take it. No HW, just 5 tests so don't screw up on one. Only easy if you know about music!

DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!!! only 5 exams with no homework. if you screw one test, you are done! no extra credit opportunity. no matter how hard you try to earn some points, he wouldn't help. tests are so hard, only 30 minutes on the exam.
