Meyer is awesome and isn't that hard once you figure out how to take notes for his classes (write down EVERYTHING, then reorganize your notes). He may look scary and unapproachable but he's actually a really nice guy once you get to know him. Fair grader and very helpful if you need clarification on a concept.

Comment:

Don't buy textbook, you're better off only buying the supplementary items to help for lab. The most use for your textbook if you insist on buying would be just to look at the pictures and diagrams (but you can just take pictures of the diagrams he uses in lecture) Relisten to lectures and reorganize notes to a way where they make sense to you.

If you study hard (re-listening to lectures/taking detailed notes) and go to all the open labs, you can do well. Lectures would've been so much better if he used powerpoint. He often made mistakes but was slow to catch them. I remember him as awkward, stubborn, and arrogant, but a fair grader and helpful in lab. The material was interesting.

Comment:

A lot of people don't like Meyer but usually those people aren't the smartest and complain because he's too hard. In my experience the smarter students love his class as I did and so will you if you're smart and willing to work. I learned so much and still made an A in anatomy. I would definitely take any class offered by him in the future.

Very stand-offish and acts as if you know nothing and he knows absolutely everything. Beware that even things he barely mentions in lecture WILL BE ON THE EXAM. You have to know/memorize absolutely everything. Not very approachable, but very intelligent. A&P is not an easy class. At. All.

By far one of the hardest classes I have taken. You have to basically memorize what he says word for word. That being said you can learn a lot from him if you pay attention and study like crazy. It's true he won't really talk to you but I feel he just doesn't care for underclassmen that much.

Veryyyy hardddd. You must write down every single word he says and memorize it ALL. He asks you the most obscure questions on the tests. Good teacher and funny, but won't help you outside of class. His lectures are clear, but again, memorize every word.

It may be very hard to approach him, but that's who he is. Be involved in Bio department, then it'll be easier to talk to him. He can crank some "unexpected" jokes in lecture. He is Awesome in lab and He knows so much! He is totally in love with birds. He is one of the hard prof, but who isn't hard in Bio department anyway.

Very clear, good lecturer. DEFINATELY a the best lab proff. You will learn a lot from him. Just dont try to talk to him much outside class, his people skills arent too great. And he hates Greeks.

Very Very helpful, he is a wonderful teacher! can be a tad bit cynical at times but he will help you with anything! he explains till you understand it!
