Comment:

Turned a should be easy class into a 4 month nightmare. Worst class I've taken at Dal. Has unreasonable expectation that everyone one in the class received an A or better and just finished each of the 5+ prerequisites. Uses the term "In Mathland" at least twice a lecture. Believe me she will exceed your expectations in the worst way.

Just because your students took an Intro to C++ verry basic coding class, over 32 months ago, does not mean that they instantly have an expert grasp of Matlab (which uses completely different language) on January 1st. Beware, this course is not interesting, hard, extremely time-consuming. But unfortunately very relevant in engineering. Too bad

Brutal at teaching the subject matter in a useful way. Arbitrarily does examples. Doesn't provide any background in class before jumping into new subjects. Generally says, "You know this from first year right?". Then immediately proceeds into material (while nobody does remember) leaving far behind and playing catch up on day 1

Most arrogant prof I have ever met. She answers questions with questions in an attempt to belittle students. It blows my mind that in 2017 a professor can get away with talking down to people the way she does. If at all possible avoid her.

Unrealistic expectations of her students. Expects us to know concepts from first year instantly without refresher, extremely condescending and interrupts anyone who dares question her in a lecture. Each homework assignment (weekly) took upwards of 10 hours and that's not including the multiple errors she made on each one, unhelpful outside of class

Two issues Her assignment questions are very unclear Her office hours are basically by appointment only and with her schedule, it doesn't fit with yours. Good luck with making appointments. You can e-mail her for help, which she encourages. Her answers to your questions by e-mail are useless.

Dr. Gentleman has few considerations to the average student. Her helpfulness isn't in question. She doesn't help them. Her unreal expectations to an otherwise easy course forces students to struggle to understand easy concepts that would easily be understood if they were taught by another professor. Basically, she turned checkers into chess.

she didnt helpme out at all. she makes the class 10x more hard than it is. her midterms her assignments and the final exam is very hard. your grade depends on how good yourcrib sheets is, she asks you to derive very complex theories and formulas. she is avery tough marker, she doesnt like to show weaknes when she marks.very hard to pass course.
