Not a bad class..attendance isn't mandatory, quizzes are easy and tests are decent if you do any studying. I bought the book off half.com for $5, even though it was the old edition it still worked and beat paying $130 from the bookstore. Guy's a little nutty but he's cool and definitely knows his stuff. Recommended.

COOOL guy. Kinda reminds me of the sea turtles from Finding Nemo ("DUDE"). Had him for Oceanography, so the Nemo thing works too. Attendance isn't mandatory; just do the online quizzes and pay attention when in class. Notes are written out for you already; but gives you little tidbits in class that are answers to the online quizzes and tests.

alittle strange but hes a good professor care alot about his students doing well although he'll help those who will help themselves if you dont try then i dont think he'd help you at all lectures were plan and boring lab with him was much easier than the other professors from what i heard
