Comment:

This professor is someone who definitely cares about history. I had him at 8am and he was always awake and ready to go. I liked his teaching style and how he threw little tidbits of information into the lecture to make it more interesting. He's also a very kind person. He definitely is a hard grader, but if you study you should be fine.

Really nice, caring professor. Really enjoys his subject. Not very many tests, quizzes or homework. 2 test and a book review. If you do all the work you'll pass and be fine.

Essay tests, fill in the blank quizzes, a research paper. But review sheets. He is incredibly enthusiastic about the subject which helps keep the class from dragging. Writing on the board is hard to read sometimes, the book can help save your grade if you can't take notes well. main text book is super dense, book about Russian Revolution is good.

Great teacher really loves his history. Sometimes goes a little off track but gives you a month to write an essay. Tests are extremely easy as he gives you a study sheet of EXACTLY what is on the test which is 2 short essays.

Dr. Benedetto clearly cares very deeply about Russian History and it is a sheer pleasure to watch him bounce around the front of the classroom at 8AM (any other teacher would have put me to sleep). I would recommend his class strongly. The review is exactly what is on the test, just make sure you do the reading (there is a lot).

Russian History is not just his understanding but his passion. Tests are not easy but reviews are comprehensive and helpful. Paper is difficult but he will spend as much time as you need to work on it with you. So energized by caffeine, a great teacher for 8am.

He's a nice guy and will let you take quizes/tests home sometimes if you werem't there. but he doesn't stay on track when teaching, going back and forth throughout history so you don't have clear notes, hard to keep info in correct order & stuff. but overall the class was interesting and not very difficult to get a good grade.
