Comment:
The worst professor I have ever had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of. Taught statistics using a black and white PowerPoint and a laser pointer. Extremely boring and awkward and made no attempt to explain the material he was presenting. On the rare occasions he opened the floor to questions, he made students feel dumb and uncomfortable.

Lectures could drag a bit but he had good examples in the text and simulations he made in Excel. Could have problems controlling the class and would get flustered if people left early or put away there things while he was talking. Only two exams, both were fairly challenging but if you studied from the book it was nothing new.

You can tell Bill is here for research and not to teach. The exams are extremely difficult, and there are only 2 of them. The lectures are useless. He just reads off a powerpoint and doesn't explain anything, everyone falls asleep in them/leaves halfway through. Also, he made us buy his own book, which is almost as useless as his lectures.

Comment:
Reading out slides isn't a good way to present game theory. Lecture notes are extremely obscure to read. The due dates of homework were pre-determined and were unrelated to the overall progress of the class. In fact, the professor doesn't seem to care his students. One has to be prepared to have a tough time with him!

Comment:
Not a good professor. Whole class is based off the book with no other resources. Lectures are totally useless. The "midterm review" is just problems from past homeworks and handouts. Tests are unnecessarily hard and there are only 2 of them that determine your entire grade. Do not recommend

Decent lecturer. Game theory gets very technical and I appreciate the organization in his delivery.

Bill teaches a really thorough class and is very organized in the classroom. I found his lectures notes to be fantastic and crucial for success in the course. The course is very tough, but you are given all of the tools necessary to succeed if you put in the hard work. Strongly recommended.

Very very very helpful professor. And an extremely nice person at that too. Be ready to work very hard if you haven't taken any stats before!
