Good guy, lectures can get boring. Participation helps keep lectures interesting and he seems to value it highly. Tests are easy enough if you go to lecture.

This professor was somewhat difficult. Be prepared to do a lot of reading and writing in his class. He clearly knows his stuff but does not always effectively communicate what he wants for papers. Some of my papers were 12 pages. They were supposedly "short". Also, he is an extremely tough grader.

Wonderful professor! He is very clear on the material and is also extremely helpful. It's obvious he loves his job; he's very enthusiastic and cares about his students' education. In this class there are a lot of essays, but no tests and no final exam, and the essays are generally fairly short (3-5 pages). VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

arguably one of the best profs i've had. took a dryyy subj. (local politics-poss. important) and delivered it in a concise (no wasta-ur-time), practical, and humorous subj. Benefitted from having this prof b/c he asks you to explain what u learn (2 sorry 4 him) while getting u 2 pursue the subject. clever/witty/funny/defntly worth ur time.

Quite possibly the best college professor I've ever had, Professor Blomquist is an excellent choice for a Political Science teacher. I've always been fairly interested in politics, but learning the logistics of it sounded like a good idea. Professor Blomquist does an excellent job of explaining things, and just makes for an overall enjoyable class.
