Very approachable. Lectures only, which at times were hard for me to follow. Always willing to help his students out. Uses visuals each class. Tests are hard, but totally possible if you study, read the books, and either seek his help or use the internet when you don't understand the lecture.

Dr. Brice is a hard grader, but his curve is enormous. %40 is a D. I mean, come on, you can know less than half the stuff and still pass. Anytime you need him, he's available--more often than not handing you a cup of coffee while you go over the facts.

Unless you are a geology major, I don't recommend taking him. He's a really great teacher and knows his stuff and cares about what he teaches BUT he teaches at a grad school level. Be willing to give up your entire social life if you take him.

Nobody cares about his students more than WRB. He expects the most of his students, and grades accordingly. Only professor I know of to stop by the labs at 11pm weeknights and Sunday afternoons to see if there is anything he can help his students with.
