Dr.D is a really dedicated and knowledgable teacher and you can lern a lot from him f you wish to. There is a lot of reading, but there are also a lot of opportunities for EC. 1 of 3 quizes and exams are dropped. Final exam is cumilative. Basically there's a lot of reading and participation/attendance really helps. Great Teacher.

Dr. D is a nice guy, but somewhat boring and mono toned. I read the chapter 2 hours before class and usually pulled out B's on the quizzes/tests. Attendance is mandatory, but I basically missed a weeks worth of class and ended up with a B with minimal work ... knows what he is talking about, annoying that he is a republican :P

Dr. D is one of the best instructors at Pierce. Getting an A in his class is not easy, but it can be done if you READ the book and handouts. I know I did and I got an A. He's not boring if you actually are interested in political science. He even offers extra credit!

He is sooo boring and talks way to much about one topic. One time he spent 15 minutes talking about the proper scantron to use. It was extremly hard to stay awake in his class. He is very dedicated to poli sci but he is a boring teacher. I do not recommand him at all!

Impressively dedicated and passionate after many years teaching. Will help those who help themselves. Very encouraging. Really takes interest in his students performances. He makes you want to push yourself to do your best. Not an easy A, but acheivable if you make the commitment.

Excellent teacher and I highly recommend enrolling in his poli sci course if you are a good and respectful student. However, if you are looking for a professor that does not really teach and you simply want to slide on by, then do not take his class. Dr. D offers extra credit, potentially rasing your final grade by 6%!

this teacher is the most boring teacher on earth. his lectures are long and dull. he speaks in monotone. really tough to stay awake. class is based on tests. if you read the material and take good lecture notes you have a chance. i do not recommend this teacher.

i loved dr d. his class was super easy. all i did was read the chapters, made sure i knew all the terms and i got an easy A in his class. he ranks the students after every test, which i loved. brought out the competitive edge in me. if you cant pass his class then you are a lazy student. he gives you a chance for extra credit (up to 6 percent point

Dr. DeRubertis is the best teacher I've ever had. Sure if you're lazy and hate lectures you'll probably be bored but he's one of the few teachers at Pierce that are really passionate about what they teach. It's an easy class if you do the work. I'd take him again. He's awesome.

he is pretty cool...gives you pointers on his tests, and has great advise if u email him. He uses big words when he lectures, but if you pay attention closely, it is all sensible. good hearted guy. really cares about teaching politics to the young.

hmmm I don't know what to say I actually have him right now it's fall 2005.. I liked him a lot,,he actually is not rude but he is a lil disappointed about the fact that young people doesnt know much about politics.. just make sure you read his book,, you will end up with an A or B.. and also try to do the lectures..he is very helpul..
