Professor Parker is a very good teacher whose lectures can seem boring at times, but he somehow manages to make the class interesting. His constant one liners and dry humor throughout each class helps keep the class on it's toes. At times you ask, "Did he really just say that?" Parker is clear, concise, and will push you to make you a better writer

Very knowledgeable, but not as knowledgeable as he thinks. He'd sooner chew off his own arm than admit he's wrong or incorrect. If he doesn't know something, he will feign that it is beneath him to even answer, and that it's your job to find these things out on your own. But still, not a bad guy underneath it all, and you will learn.

great teacher-dry sense of humor-very knowledgable about what he is teaching and class is well-planned...take him! 10% participation/attendence, 40% midterm, 50& final (tests are in class essays)...only hw during quarter is reading...thorough discussions about readings in class...just take notes

Dr. Parker is hysterical. Very dry humor (you'll either get it and love him or not get it and think he's pompous). Everyone should be forced to take the Bible as Lit. I learned a lot from Dr. Parker.

Prof. Parker can't help but seem pompous since he knows a great deal regarding just about anything! Thoroughly enjoyed his classes and his sarcastic sense of humor. I disagree that he is misogynistic. He went out of his way to include readings by Restoration/18th Century female authors. I recommend his Bible & Horror Lit classes!

Parker is great. He is extremely smart and really funny as well. He is very clear on what he expects of his students and gives students a chance to improve their grades with an extra credit paper. Go to class and listen to what he says. You might learn something. He is the best professor at DePaul.

One of the best teachers at DePaul. He is clear about his expectation on all material. He gives you the oppurtunity to pull up grade with papers. He does not take attendence and has a great sense of humor. If you need art and lit take this teacher!!!

ppl who say he is REALLY hard are lazy.An A is attainable, but he will challenge u.Involve urself in the material and u'll do well. Talk in class. True he likes to talk a lot but he is VERY intelligent. Good sense of humor. Only 2 exams, paper is optional to replace a bad midterm grade.

probably one of the most intelligent people on earth, and he knows it. he was one of my favorite teachers of all time. he doesn't just gets you interested in the subject, he inspires a passion for it. he is the type of teacher who makes you want to absord all you can just to better yourself.
