Comment:

Dr. Faranda is the man. He is one of if not my favorite professor at JMU. Although attendance is mandatory I would recommend him to literally anyone. Dr. Faranda knows how to keep the class entertained and engaged in a subject that could be brutal. He made the class laugh at least 4 times a class. Truly a great caring guy. Would take again!!!

Faranda is the most genuine professor I've had at JMU. He does everything he can to keep his lectures interesting and gives students many different assignments to ensure success in the class. Be prepared for a good amount of group work, and make sure to be clear on his expectations. Great guy, would take this class over again.

Dr. Faranda is one my favorite professors at JMU. He is hilarious, always made our entire class laugh with his stories. Tests are the usual. Genuinely cares about students. On the last day of class he gave all graduating seniors a signed card and baked our class two cakes. The absolute man!!

Dr. Faranda is an awesome professor. I plan on taking him for two other MKTG classes as well. Most of the material comes from the PPTs and the quizzes are pretty much straight from the PPTs. Side projects are pretty simple. Study a lot for the essay tests, that's where the book can be helpful. Definitely take him, he is such a kind man! GL :)

Dr. Faranda is an expert in this stuff, if you take any class with him this would probably be it. 3 exams, 6 quizzes drops the lowest, and a couple assignments. Exams are all essay, but the study guides he gives literally tell you every single question, easy quizzes. Unless you have a terrible negative attitude you should not have any problems.

He's amazing and HILARIOUS, but the class is very challenging. Ten MC quizzes (drops the lowest), and all tests are essay-based. He's really helpful and chill if you're having problems, but you definitely have to study your butt off to do well in this class. Overall, if you're looking to take a MKTG elective, this is one of the best options.

Awesome professor. SO helpful too if you need help. Expects your best in every assignment so don't slack off. Funny guy. The beginning of the semester is tough but gets easier. Go talk to him if you need help because he will give it to you. Great guy, take him for 485.

If you can take any class with him you would be lucky. Amazing professor, all around great guy. He had me cracking up almost every class he is just really funny. Ray Ramono to a 'T" is a dead-on comparision. The first few weeks are suprisingly mathematical and kind of suck, but the group work helps you get through. He makes class fun, and you'll get out early. Last few weeks are easy and you only go once a week once you start MarkStart, which is 432989732 times better than the BSG game. Take if possible.

Hands down the best professor at JMU (believe me, I've had a lot). Lessons are clear and detailed, and he doesn't take himself too seriously, which is the problem with most teachers. His classes aren't "easy", but if you pay attention and do your work, you'll grab an "A" no problem. Take him for any class you can get him for.
