Comment:

I loved this man! He was such a sweetheart. Attendance is not mandatory, but he is so passionate about poetry that it would've be so disrespectful not to attend in my opinion. It is a very easy A. No tests. Only a midterm and a final which were both take home and consisted of defining terms and a story/poem of your own. Highly recommend!

Comment:

Pretty cool guy but can be boring. Super easy class with only a take-home mid-term and final. He is a poet and so his classes involve a lot of reading of his poems as well as other poems. If you want an easy class or a GPA booster class, take one with him! Learned some and got an A.

One of the coolest professors at YSU. He is really laid back and gives you a study guide for the test. Only 2 tests, mid-term & final. Journals are due at the end of semester. DO the journals, tests are open notes. So its easy to get an A. The BEST!!

One of the best general classes I've taken. If you're interested in the material, the class is a delight. If you're not, attendance is not mandatory. Grade is determined by journals due at the end of the semester and two exams. The exams are open-note, and he tells you what will be on them the class before. Book is a must; $40 used.

Easy tests as described in other comments. he's funny, laid back, and the perfect teacher for a class like this. class always lets out early so he can get a lunch break. I don't attend often, look notes up online once I Know what he's looking for and use them in the open note tests. daily journal entries are easy, but keep up with them. great prof.

He gives us two tests one for short stories and one for poetry, the begining of class he will give you one paper for literature term, it is about 80 terms, two tests are consists of the definition 25 questions and 20 for short answers. if you attend classes, it would not be hard because his tests are open-note tests.

Dr. Greenway is the best professor I have ever had at Youngstown State. He is also one of the smartest men I know. If you don't believe me, stop by his office hours. He's helpful, fair, has an awesome sense of humor, and is quite good-looking. If you want good poetry... all wrapped in a tall, dark, handsome man, take Dr. Greenway!
